    1) Plz elaborate the routine points to CDI conversion.
    2) How do i go about coil rewinding for better HL ?

I have heard that a KB100 CDI unit is a direct fit in a Yezdi for conversion. And whom should i contact for rewinding, the guys who do winding just do it for fans, exhausts, coolers etc. Is there someone special who does rewinding work for bikes ?

I would be grateful if you answer and satisfy me. You will have a top-spot in terms of the yezdi-owners i have known till date.

    Thanks.

AFAIK, existing CDI models can take the KB mod directly. But for older Points models, of course thats not possible. But I don't know anymore details about who how where what etc about points to CDI conversion. I only know that its a routine affair. I didn't buy a points yezdi so I have not researched it ...but its a common thing - many ppl get it done.

I believe it started with the OilKing Model. The OilKing was the one which had the pump but it didn't do well in the market.

      Hi Srini,
i agree with what you say and i have seen a 74 model yezdi with a flower head. however someone here in the past 2 or 3 months had a discussion with me tht even Rks came with a flowerhead in the ending years. Do you know something about Rks having flowerhead ?

Very unlikely. As I said, IIRC it was only the OilKing that had the flower head. But people have used a flower head on other models for quite some time. I have seen a 95CDI RK with the flower head in Mysore. SunnyBoi was there too. The guy wanted 18K for that bike

No Roadking came with the flower head. Its just taken from an earlier Yezdi model, modified and then fitted on Roadkings.

No... he was not fed kingfisher. This was totally spontaneous...he was so happy with glee

BTW - you can see the Flower head here. This was a 9x CDI model with a flower head sourced from an oilking.

I liked that somewhat cheesy phrase - Java nanna jeeva

is it required? i mean isn't it there on the bike already?

i saw two guys wearing a Tee with the wordings "JAWA nanna JEEVA" in the JAWA day post,
i flicked the phrase from there
