  • @Vas

    Thats a neat bike. Congrats!

    Some observations :

    • Get a fuel filter - RX fuel filter or the glass-magnet one will do.
    • Get it serviced by a good mech : Cables, silencer cleaning, carb etc etc
    • You seem quite tall - you can get some padding on the seat and that will raise the seat height a bit.

You can call him Kari Kulla no doubt ! But there ought to be a better name !

I am dithering about the name for a while now - Had almost settled for either Ambrose or Ajax before I saw the touched up bike in flesh. And I started to think again !

BTW Here is a pic of my bike (night shot) .I will take some shots in the day time in a couple of days time.

Thanks mate. Yeah I don't like too much Bling Bling chrome . But the rims will get rechromed soon.

Thanks mate. I was speaking to the mech about it a few days back. He claims it improves the cooling. Will Ck it out .

No they weren't oil-cooled. NO Yezdi/Jawa came up with this kind of a bike.

i prefer calling it "kari kulla" if sandeep has no objections

                          Nice bike dude,
i am jealous of South-Indians, They have lots of RKs rolling around there. There are very few over here.

                            @ Hafeexius :

Points to CDI conversion is routine. Just find a good mech.

HL output is decent enough on the stock bike. Before attempting coil rewinding etc - pls try with a good bulb and reflector Assembly.

                            hi Sandeep,
i respect your seniority and knowledge. Questions for you that are still unanswered for me-
                            1) Plz elaborate the routine points to CDI conversion.
                            2) How do i go about coil rewinding for better HL ?

I have heard that a KB100 CDI unit is a direct fit in a Yezdi for conversion. And whom should i contact for rewinding, the guys who do winding just do it for fans, exhausts, coolers etc. Is there someone special who does rewinding work for bikes ?

I would be grateful if you answer and satisfy me. You will have a top-spot in terms of the yezdi-owners i have known till date.

                            Thanks.

For the CDI Conversion, I guess you need a different kind of crank, which can hold the magnet. After that is got, the KB100 conversion is a direct fir. SWISS even has a customised wiring loom for use with KB100 colplate, CDI and still has wires for the RK.

The flower head is actually form the Yezdi CL2? Not sure. The original head has 4 bolts while the RK has 5 bolts. The head needs to be modified, 5th hole has to be drilled and squish changed to suit the RK.
