The bike is here, but is in a worse state than I thought ...
The wiring is all messed up, the kick ratchet assy is messed up and the crank is jammed shut ...
One cylinder is std sleeved the other is unsleeved 0.40 oversized .... the piston on that one is missing.
There are a few interesting things though .... the left cylinder has "21" stamped on the inner side ... indicating the 21bhp version (?)
The jawa 634 was rated at 26 bhp in europe and central asia....
the head has both cz and jawa stamped on it ...
All in all this looks like a VERY long rebuild for me ... the restoration will be a nightmare !!!!
Any way ... back to the hunt ... will be looking for spares now .....
At least I know what i need now !!!
It looks more like a 27 than 21, but then the Y350 was 21 bhp. There are some 6 or 7 different variants of the 634 engine. The Y350 mill is a completely imported one, with only the gearbox changed here.
One advice, please get both the cylinders the same size. If you know of anyone in mysore, check with Jain Motors for pistons.

All the best.
Yes Pat, it could be the 27 bhp verssion ....
Come to think of it, the bike is from 1988, and has the large rear drum, maybe it was ideal jawa's foray into the RD350 LT's domain...
Pistons are available in mumbai too, only issue is that I need the block kit .... I have heard of many who have complete spare engines (without owning the bike) ... but are not willing to part with them ....
Unfortunate but true

Is this the regular Y350 that you got or the Jawa 350 TS or something like that? All Y350s had the larger front drum but regular drum at the rear.
Yes, there are quite a few people who I know of that have engines (new and old) and they have their own reasons to not part with them.
If your willing to import new cylinders, then go ahead, else I would say just use the same cylinders. Why do you want to change them?
One small note, ensure that you or your mech handle the center aluminum seal properly (the big one inbetween the two cylinders). Slightest of wear on this will cause leaks and your bike will not start. This is not available anywhere here and I know guys who spent quite a bit to import it.
As for Yezdi's and RD 350, I'll leave that to speculation. Too much has already been said about it. Partly true, mostly wrong.
BTW, I have a Y350 with a mileage of 7000 km on it from new. Owned another one, which I sold.
