He said ports need to be corrected, rebore will not do the correction.Originally posted by kusmakerMr. Sriram is right the newer blocks have got the same nomenaclature embossed on them, i believe it's utter luck that you have received an improper or rejected piece through online site. Can't it be bored to next size like 0.50 2nd O/S by this way you will be able to use the same cylinder plus you can keep the new cylinder for future use.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Re: My Rx100 restoration
I was thinking the same thing. As I mentioned before my mechanic is a magician. He can correct the ports to quite an extent. So waste not what u can use. But with the quality of the part I don't know if its gonna be useful. But the good thing is now I have two bores. One of original old stock and the new shitty one so lets see where this goes.

Nope................... He's the one whose trying to make it reappear.
The bike belongs to my dad and he had his own mechanic who serviced only the Rx100. Its a long story but he was good in the begining and later became the theif that he is today.
The mechanic I am going to now is an old friend of my dad he fixed an old pearl Yamaha for us. Check the first page of the thread.

Re: My Rx100 restoration
about the cylinder kit I will tell you soon as I have to arrange for funds. I already have 2 cranks my original just needs cleaning and a new con rod it seems so will not be buying a new one. as per your advice I will seek the wiring kit and coil- magnet in my city.Originally posted by kusmakerGot the rate for your cylinder kit, rate has been revised the new block will cost you 9000/-rs,crank assembly is costing 3800/-rs, OE wiring, magnet, and coil plate is no more supplied by the company, so it's better to look for some aftermarket parts, air filter box and filter are available.
This just leaves the air cleaner and element, and a battery box 12v. for that if it is available here I will buy it or else let you know along with a list of other parts I need by Tuesday. thank you for searching Bro it is much appreciated. will pm you soon thanx.

I restored my rx100 to the factory spec as you can see the link on my signature, so did not bother to try out of the box thoughts.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Re: My Rx100 restoration
Perhaps you can advice me about the disk setup. for your bike i saw in your thread you employed parts from a........ gladiator? are gladiator pipes direct fit for the RX's T'ees or did you have to substitute the whole front end with a gladiator. coz in the pics it looks awesome. if it is a direct fit then from where did you source the parts and how much it cost you.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostI restored my rx100 to the factory spec as you can see the link on my signature, so did not bother to try out of the box thoughts.
also I actually didn't understand what you were trying to say in your post. could you elaborate.

Re: My Rx100 restoration
I had Gladiator parts from 2010 but I used it later on rx100. All those were sourced from showroom then. Even now you can source by placing order via nearest showroom. Gladiator disc set up is a direct fit. I just used front fork bottom and disc related parts. I retained the T-stem of RX100.
The last line was, since I did not go into fancy parts but sticker to factory line up so did not learn about alloy wheels on rx100.
Off course I did a small cameo setup in between before came back to square one.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011
