When the level reches some minimum level, the oil warning indicator lights up on the console. For checking the actual level at any time, you have to open the side panel and check the plastic tank... which is quite easy on the Sams, Shoguns, Shaolins.

Replace the oil tank/box glass. This is the easiset & safest way. If your bike feels rougher at higher speeds, that might also be an indication inadequate lubing.

But the best way as I said, would be to replace the glass (or the guage itself if necessary).

Sorry, I guess I missed this thread earlier.

Dude, the problem is the engine will be running without oil till the point the oil starts coming out of the carb end of the tube!!!

And I reckon, it will take few mins for the oil to fill up the tube.

I'm considering doing this when there is say a litre or two of petrol in the tank (estimated) and then add maybe say 15 ml/litre 2t in the petrol tank and let the bike run for a bit until the petrol+oil mix fills up the carb. Then I guess I can safely do this procedure. But then the bike will be running with more than required oil for a bit.

Another way could be to use an injection syringe to fill up the tube with 2t oil and then fix it. I don't suppose air bubbles are an issue for this tube.

    What do you think?

Bladerunner, which Petronas oil? The fully synth one?

Dunno for sure whats this oil pump nipple. Will see when I open it next. Is it easy to change? Hope I can get it at the ASC...

Wow, thats cool. Now I'm feeling a bit more confident about my decade or so old pump...

Thats great. Will see if my ASC has got the new tubes by now. Still, my old tubes are looking good... dunno if I should fix whats not remotely broken...
