hi guys , sorry i am not updating here .
Well very busy and there is nothing much good to write as always .
Problems just dont seem to end .
I will update in detail after some days .
But there are some major problem , I want your advice .
1. I always used the bike for not more than 10-15 kms per day , that also with breaks and one time distance was nearly 5 kms only .
Now after offroading for a full day , with breaks ofcourse .
But still the engine heated like mad .
The carb started leaking . I noticed it only at night .
I tightened the carb drain screw also but still carb is leaking from the lower nipple where fuel comes out when we open drain screw.
Also one nipple on the right hand side was also fully wet petrol , not the one where oil pump is connected .
Please guide me what could be done . Is the carb's time over or some other problem .
2. Now 2nd problem is ,
Where I break or use the front brake , the bike wobbles . Are the forks out or some other problem ? .
3. Can I use Yamaha Lube as Engine oil and 2T. Has anyone used them on the 135 , please could you brief individually how do both the oils perform .
Someome told me motul 300v as engine oil but the bikes performance is not worth it .
Or is there any other oil you recommend for the same or nearly the same price .
yamalube is guess is nearly 250 - 300 bucks .
4. Is it ok to use to different oils as engine oil and 2T .
Coz I got castrol 2T enough for some 200 kms more .
5. How old oil can i use . I mean how much should i accept , I may get oil which is kinda year or two year old .
Please reply to me on these 5 things please .
This bike has not shown me even a single week without any problem .
Hell I am actually tired , Dont know till what time I ll love it , I got much better works to do than running after the bike most of my time .
Drinks petrol like a thirsty thing and with no real time performance except as i told is an awesome , simply awesome street bike but with vibs .
Thanks n advice .Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

1. Why not get the stuff fixed from Yam ASC? Preferably some senior?
2. Could be the fork is out or the rear wheel is outta alignment or one or both rims need to be true. Could be a tyre issue also... but that is least likely.
3. Yamaha lube as engine oil and 2t? You can use a 4t oil for the former and any 2t for the latter... of course there will be differences according to what you use. Sorry haven't tried yamahalube myself... so I'll let others comment on that. Why don't you try using something like Gulf for the gearbox? Personally, I don't see why you'd wanna spend on 300V when you aren't even happy with your bike.
4. Perfectly fine to use different brands! Just don't mix oils for the same application.
5. A year or 2 is the max... personally I would not use anything older than that. But technicall, and if stored correctly, upto 4 years may be ok.

1. The ASC guys are least interested . They are way too much busy and happy working on FZ and R15 . And if you are lucky enough , the labour they ask is outta the earth prices for even small jobs , forget major engine work . And the prices keep on changing day to day n person to person and absolutely no friendly behaviour. I wud rather throw away my bike or get it crushed than dealing with these people .
2. Both rims are new , tyres are new . Seems to be a fork issue right now .
I ll wait for others comment on this .
3. I have seen you talking about Gulf many times . Seems you have used it. Which one or which kind like semi synthetic and what ratings etc have you used ( some details ) and how do u feel it performs in comparison to others ? .
How much does it cost ? .Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and

1. That is why I said you may need to escalate the issue. Else why not try something like CBZ, if there is one in your area? I guess there isn't?
2. Even if the rims are new, they may not have been trued right. Check it out. Ditto with tyre defects... but that would be pretty rare. I had an strange wobbling issue and could not figure out the cause as I had trued the rims and had new tyres too. To make a long story story, it was found to be the front tyre. The dealer readily changed it in warranty. It was a Dunlop ribbed tyre.
3. I have used 10W30 personally (in my CBZ-x). It is supposed to be semi-synth. Very good stuff for the price. But I guess you would need 20W40. It is not labelled as semi-synth... but I know folks who are using it (even in 2 strokers) and it is also pretty good. Price is close to Rs. 200/-. Will last a long time too. Elf Moto could be another option.Last edited by Raccoon; 11-12-2009, 04:49 PM.

But I am in mumbai . Would have been 0 problem if I lived in bangy or chennai or delhi .
@ Racoon
No man , no CBZ and all . Only dumb mechanics . I simply cannot believe it man. These people have survived since years . But they dont know any technical stuff at all . Only replace parts and change oil .
Now I realized when people mention HH bikes , any donkey also can do it .
Not 2 strokes , they need a precise and decidated hand .Hope is a good thing ,

Hey brother my answers are in bold...hope this helps you take care brother and ride safeOriginally posted by outworldly maniac View Posthi guys , sorry i am not updating here .

okay thats not good brother, check if your clutch plates are good or not. If the clutch plates are gone or not properly fixed then also this thing can come up....
The carb started leaking . I noticed it only at night .
I tightened the carb drain screw also but still carb is leaking from the lower nipple where fuel comes out when we open drain screw.
Also one nipple on the right hand side was also fully wet petrol , not the one where oil pump is connected .

Just check if the slider needle is moving up and down properly or not...as with offroading the dust can come in between the slider and carb and can jam it up which can cause this...I faced this issue on my bike when I went to offroad ...
2. Now 2nd problem is ,
Where I break or use the front brake , the bike wobbles . Are the forks out or some other problem ? .
Well wobbling issue can be for many reasons - mainly your wheel bearing and alignment of wheel. The forks should not cause wobbling. If the forks are not fixed properly then your bike may move sidewards or have a directional problem but not wobbling...
3. Can I use Yamaha Lube as Engine oil and 2T. Has anyone used them on the 135 , please could you brief individually how do both the oils perform .
Someome told me motul 300v as engine oil but the bikes performance is not worth it .

Yamahalube is one of the best 2T Oils I have used in my bike and also suggested to one my friend who owns RX135 4-speed, and he uses Castrol for Engine Oil. And yes you can use Yamaha Lube Engine Oil as well but my mechanic never recommends it...he goes for a Castrol only for engine oil...its only my opinion brother rest is on you and other experts out here
4. Is it ok to use to different oils as engine oil and 2T .
Coz I got castrol 2T enough for some 200 kms more .
Yes brother its perfectly fine to use different Engine and 2T Oil
5. How old oil can i use . I mean how much should i accept , I may get oil which is kinda year or two year old .
As far as you get it in seal condition and original its okie...as it is some of these oils boxes do have the expiry period so check it properly okie brother
Please reply to me on these 5 things please .

Hey buddy you know 2-strokes demands riders attention always..so dont worry about it..its a different pleasure riding a 2-stroke and yeah slowly slowly when these problems get rectified you will love it for sure.....and yes I do agree that we have other important things to do which is more practical approach, but then ISNT BIKING OUR PASSION....AND THIS PASSION CANNOT BE CHERISHED WITHOUT ONES BIKE>>>>SO WE DO LOVE IT ALWAYS....Just be calm get things done and rest will be the happy days....
I just did spend around 4Gs on my bike just coz the connecting rod was loose so got it changed and in last 2mths I would be doing run-in of my bike second time....but hey I love it and always will....

I think you have had enough of it, please do upgrade and enjoy four strokes i have said enough in this thread nothing is left to say now. two strokes are not your cup of tea."Engine tuning is not an exact science, but with some practice and patience you'll get comfortable with your skill and be able tune for any conditions mother nature throws at you"

You said something about wondering how long your love for this bike will last given the spate of issues you have had. I would suggest you to just drain all the petrol ...to the last drop - deflate the tyres...and put the bike in cold storage. Remove the battery and cover the bike completely.
When you find somebody who has enough expertise and when you have enough funds to go for a COMPLETE chassis and mechanicals overhaul - you can revisit it.
This is better than selling it now and regretting the decision later. For now - you might put this in cold storage and look at an alternative. The bike is ridden with too many problems. I am sorry. This is the most logical solution.

I know you all speak from a lot of experience , never just for the sake of it and whatever way you suggest is practical and realistic approach. I always respected all your opinion , otherwise would not have written here on XBHP .
Thanks as always

Alright guys , the comedy case that sometimes happens i guess with all of us sometimes .
Took the bike to a mech nearby and the carb was behaving like a good boy

.
I asked him what could have caused the prob , he said that sometimes float pins moves outta position , so just tap the carb and it will be alright .
So carb problem solved , yet there is slight starting problem which I can overlook but it takes some petrol using choke everytime . But nonetheless I am happy is not something major .
What I can feel from what I ve read is that there is some problem with float system . But theory is theory after all .
Finding another carb if I can , no new one available and if available
.
Do you guys know of any alternate carb which can fit or be used which will perform nearly the same ? i.e., will suit the bike ? .
Any one which you know of ? .
The bike shaking when using front brake also I found out . The steering had a bit horizontal play which the expert mechanic could not fix
.
He either over tightened the handle or loosened it more . So kept it some tight so that atleast there is no wobbling ... it is only slight now . But I dont like it , I liked the loose handle . Kinda have to find a solution from a different mech .
The rear mudguard touching the tyre with pillion on pot holes is because the rear upper part of the chassis is a bit bent

. Now thats bad aint it?.
I always dread chassis problems . Would it be any problem if it is done by a lathe guy , I mean any side effect and do you recommend it ? .
There is some strange noise which sometimes kinda magnifies and sometimes vanishes and there is normal noise which always comes from this engine which I have heard in other 135 also .
The noise comes anytime it likes for eg : at idle , while riding ..mostly when riding slow at higher gear ... not knocking or stalling .
Would using a good oil reduce vibrations to some extent . I really hate this crotch skaking vibs
, well not sooo much but yeah is more comfy aint it ? . Yea I know two strokes have vibs , I am talking on comparo basis .
Using castrol 20w50 as engine oil and castrol 2T .
What other measures can help reduce vibs except keeping the engine off
Happy that problems are getting solved , I just cant see the bike lying around . Kinda feel bored on other bikes , was riding pulsar the other day and
.
As usual would end up my long lecture. I really like to write in brief so that the things are vivid . Hope I dont bug that way .
Thank you all for your time . Your help and support has been invaluable .Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

RX100 and RX135 4s bore kits are available from ASC. Not in Bengaluru thoughOriginally posted by NitinGirish View PostI just spoke to Mr. K.L.M Rao, Area Service Manager, Yamaha India. He said, RX 135 bore kits are unavailable. Whats worse is that it is NOT going to be available anytime in future
He has about 10,000 'pending orders' for 135 kit and he is tired of saying sorry he claimed.
RX100 bore kits are in shortage and is rationed among the dealers. It is NOT available as over the counter product. You can only get it replaced in A.S.C. It costs Rs.5995 (recently revised upwards).
This is the official line on 100 & 135 bore kits and I thought it might be of some use to the enthusiasts here.
@outwardly maniac: I am extremly sorry to have posted this in your thread as I didnt want to start a new thread for this.
@Moderators: If necessary please feel free to delete this post.
Enthusiasts needn't despair, that is what I am trying to get at
Just have to look in the right places and Bengaluru (or for that matter any big city) is not one among them.
