As far as I know there is a difference in 3 parts of tachometer gear kit for 4 & 5 speed.
Here are the differences:
1>The Plastic Gear the 4 speed is the Black One and the white one is of 5 speed, and there is a difference in size, Black one is bigger than 5 Speed one.
2>the metal gear is a bit longer for 4 speed
3>The Metal shaft is a bit broader for 4 speed

Remaining parts on the RHS remains same for both.

Gentlemen please correct me if I am wrong.

My guess they are interchangeably compatible, however, shall hold on until I check myself.

Neelesh if you remember, i had sent you the differences. Its the same for 4 and 5 speed and its black. The white gear comes only for RXG.

RXG didn't have a Tachometer as far as I know. The meter was same as that of 100.
But the smaller white gear is there in the crank case. I have seen it when my Rx was opened. So it has to do something with the Tachometer ???

Yes vijay, it was only to match the bigger primary.

It cud be. Very early RX100s had the tachometer provision.

i rode RXG when it was released so no doubt about meter console... the smaller white gear in the crank case i doubt on that..may be you are refering to the white oil pump drive gear.

It could be, I too thought its part of oil pump only until this discussion came up.
Anyway I didn't do a close inspection so I can't confirm about this!!

Spare Parts in Thailand - a Hoax ?

Hi, Guys!

It is funny, I was all set to get myself some sexy RX King parts for my RX 135 from thailand since my dad flew over on work.

The crazy thing is all those shop keepers say the last they heard about the RX King was 20 years ago ;-) how about THAT !!! ...so, no parts available.

I hear Indonesia is where its at, hmmm... Just thought of sharing this info with u all.
