Try to sourse a crux-r headlamp. It will fit with minimum mods to the dome.Originally posted by 110topend View PostHey Guys, I own an RXZ 5speed.. can anyone, based on their true experience, tell me which headlight dome (Reflector + Glass + Rim) will do for the bike other than the stock dome. I want it to look exactly like how it does in stock. I am a strict no no for stock headlight as its of a fiber glass type and would periodically turn dim and hazy obstructing light from coming out. Please advise if maruti 800 or Omini's headlight would be a ready to fix (with minimum modification if required) as I had read in one of the threads. Guys i'l be waiting for your inputs. Thanks :-)

I did my first try to put a Maruti 800 headlamp yesterday, following are key points:
Components with observation:
1) Maruti 800 headlamp: Type 1 (the glass & reflector is sealed. Lumax
2) headlamp bulb: P45 is needed.
3) headlamp power rating: 55/60 (std). I have used 90/100 as I have plonked a 90/100 lighting kit.
4) headlamp bulb socket: must be ceramic one & not the rubber type as you find in new Splendor. This is to handle the heat produced even with 55/60 bulb.
5) Headlamp Dome: Kawasaki 4s
6) 1 set of Activa front fibre body bidding: this is fixed to the inner square edges of RXZ fairing. Where the headlamp will touch the fairing as insulation. To fit it I have used silicon based adhesive and not feviqik.
To hold the headlamp with the 4s dome, I have made 2 number custom L-brackets that has been screwed to the holes provided in the 4S dome for its(4S) stock headlamp rim screw. And the L-bracket is warped with insulation tape, to avoid scratches on the headlamp.
The RXZ wiring that we all use to keep inside the stock headlamp set-up has been now put outside the 4S dome with adequate protection from excessive exposure to water during monsoon session.
Note: I'm now working to make some sort of rim for the headlamp. If you have some idea abt that, please share.
Hope it gives some information you seek.

Re: Spare parts thread 2 strokes Yamaha RX family
One suggestion: it does not make sense to take the pain of plonking the Maruti 800 headlamp if one does not move to 90/100 or complete DC setup as the minimum build rating is 55/60.Originally posted by coolbuddy View PostHello,
