You are amalgamating the 4 and 5 speed carbs here. Either you plonk 4 speed carb with said jets or try to source 5 speed jets. Reason is, they both are not the same mm carb. If you face an issue, might not be able to trouble shoot as you have mixed up parts inside.

Very True Sriram...! It's like me eating dessert before the main course, the way it's mixed up. But, the same set-up is running on Arun's bike and the bike is as good as possible without any glitches...! Arun is running on 4TL420 with 165 Mains & 17.5 Pilots...! Btw. both the 135 4s & 5s are on the same VM22 Carb's Sriram, just that the 5S has Oval Venturi whereas the 4S has a round.

Ram, just FYI, the venturi dia of 4-speed carb (4TL01) & 5-speed carb (4TL420) are not the same. They are two different carbs.

Simple solution will be to source a 135 main jet & your bike will be as per factory settings. I could get the 135 MJ, let me know if you still need it.

Don't invest in 17.5 PJ, not worth. But if you need that, i could give that too.

^^^ From your readings I don't see any issue with the bike; if you're skeptical, just change the jets & keep riding.

Thanks Aargee, that's what i'm planning to do finally to see if the issue gets sorted.

@ram:my wild guess(partly sure too) carb is not the issue with your bike!! i have ridden it before it was rebored...it did nicely above 60 with the standard size piston on it!!and my suggestion would be try comparing the 60 plus speeds of your bike with a same stock 5speed with catcon...like try driving some other bone stock bike..then you would know how big the difference is!!or even in worst case there wont be one

True, I've also touched 110 on the speedo before the rebuild, but for now as the bike is trying to ditch those speeds anything above 60 makes me sceptical ji. I'll try the same on kalai's bike & see what's the results.

my take the pilot jet doesn't play a much bigger role after you're almost 3/4th on the throttle but the jet needle and the position of the clip is a HUGE factor and so is the mains.

edit: heck the mains starts kicking in once you go almost near 1/2 the throttle, a little by little after that the mains becomes the deciding factor on what your jetting is like

if it is running on stock ignition put it under a timing light I am pretty sure you'll know where to start and it'll make you worry once you think about revving it off like a mad man

Are you serious? RX-Z spares are extinct my dear friend. You can rebuild an RD with new spares, but not for RX-Z.

Those who have stocked the RX-Z spares are sitting on Gold Mine. Now Gold comes at a price doesn't it. You can't buy Gold at the price of Iron can you?

Those have become extinct I tell you my friend seriously take your old chassis & get it repaired with a good welder, same for the Tank, for the Panels & Tail piece get it made in steel will cost you dear money but will solve your problem for a long time.

I personally know this because I have been hunting for RX-Z spares for over 6 months in Mumbai, inspite of Having good contacts in Chor Bazaar, CST Road & Jogehswari, I cant find them.
