Alright Zapper FS confirmed for the front then. Regarding the rear, i had a look at the MRF website and I could not find a 3.00 - 18 Zapper Q, it starts at 90/90 - 18, which I guess is an oversize in my case. Thats the reason I was looking at Zapper C.

Any idea about the Price difference of MRF and M45 of both sizes? I know, M45 would be a much better tyre any day, any surface, but I am on a shoe string budget here .

      Thanks,
i have an RTR and im planning to get M45s...ive heard the C's are good though...TVS uses them on their racing bikes.

Oh is it? Actually I have heard good reviews about the C from many. Any idea about the price difference between the MRF and Michelins? Will be getting new rubber coming weekend.

Another thing, I heard Michelin do not sell Tubes. Is this correct? You must be going tubeless right? I dont have that option, cos of the spoked rims.

        • Just fitted Pirelli Sport Demon (rear) on my ZMA.
          110-90-18.
          cost:3.2k,
          traction is awesome...

Brother, where did you source this tire? I had a look at the tire on the pirelli website and am interested in a 110/80 - 17 for the rear on my P180.

Any suggestions on where to source? Any help most appreciated.

BTW - I was running Michelin Macadam 110/80 - 17 (same spec tires) on the rear and these where supersoft compounds totally not suitable for touring. They only lasted me 8000 KM Only good thing was they cost me 1500 as I got them second hand. Which would actually explain everything

I need my tires to last at least 15km and these look promising

I got it on special order, had to wait for 2 months. But the shopkeeper now got 1 or 2 tyres (110/80 - 17), ur lucky day it seems. But the cost wil bother you, its 3.2k with the air valve. But the tyre is awesome, soft compound, not super soft. + I had done a RnD with Pirelli tyre owners, n everyone told me dat it lasts atleast for 14k kms. unless you love burnoutsss

just got the M45...4.0x18" on the rear. I didnt ask about the Zapper C's..but ill tell u what, just buy the Michelins with your eyes closed! highly recomended. Excellent grip, stability is miles ahead of the stock POS TVS tires..and so far i havent noticed any drop in pickup . I used the tube from the old tire so you can do that or go in for a new tube.

Wow Congratulations... Man you are tempting me now. Will be going to JC Road on saturday probably and check out. Front I need new tire and tube, both are over 7 years old, Stock TVS, never punctured. Its got microscopic cracks every where. Rear is a 3 year old Ceat with a fairly new Tube. Rear new tire with current tube if its in good condition.

i think for ur Fiero 3.25x18 would be correct. Michelin is quality no doubt...they are imported from Thailand so they are somewhat pricey unfortunetly..but i'd rather not put a price on safety.

Yes thats the size I would go in for. Current one is 3.00 18. Yup, will do a quick comparo between the MRF and Mich and decide.

3.2K....???...i Visited GP road in Chennai last weekend and there PSD is lying around everywhere in huge stacks in every shop..A popular shopkeeper(hardeep's) over there quoted me 2.4K for the PSD and i walked away thinking he is quoting too much...Dude please check again from someone else..its definitely not worth more than 2k.....

And the shopkeeper himself told me the Tyre won't last more than 5 months for people who are into touring..especially for a guy like you who owns a ZMA....

                          • Dunlop Monster 120-80-19?

                            Hi all,
Im searching for a new rear tyre for my 2005 Thunderbird which i bought recently. The rear tyre has worn out. And its raining heavily in Kerala thesedays with 2 months of evening thunderstorms to follow till Dec. Im desperate to get a new rear tyre. Currently its running on an MRF Nylogrip 3.50-90-19. Eventhough its ok, i would like to go for a broader tyre@ rear. My options are MRF Meteor 110/90/19 [it costs rs.1800/-] and the Dunlop Monster 120/80/19 [rs.2000/-]. I was about to go for the MRF Meteor. But, a lot of guys says its a stupid tyre and it skids like hell in rains. I know some guys who changed it within a couple of months after purchase. Any guess about Dunlop Monster 120/80/19? I personally checked the tyre. It looks wide & has a deep water groove in the middle. So, it seems it will perform better in wet conditions which i give importance to. Can i fit it without modifying the swingarm? Will it touch/scratch the mudguard/chaincover while riding with a pillion? Are there any better options from Michelin? I dont like the Duro ones. Please suggest. My choice is still the Dunlop Monster

The price quoted on Pirelli official site is around 3k too. It maybe cheaper but my rear tyre went bald n I had a bad fall coz of it + in Mumbai you dont have much options. I wasnt getting proper size in Michelin, MRF on strike, no Pirelli stock anywhere, so I had to order it. Anyways its worth man, grip is amazing.
                                thanks for your concern buddy.

Hey, better option will be to contact apacherenator as he can get you PSD at around 2K, n Chennai will anyday be near to you as compared to the city dat never sleeps...
