I guess they were sponsored by Rynox, not sure though and so were the 200NS on tests. Anything free is appreciable anytime of the day.Originally posted by akshayhonda View Post

Suction cups are not a good option of a non magnetic tank bag considering the dusty riding conditions we got here (specially on highway).Originally posted by payeng View PostI see a dearth of options of good motorcycle luggage/bags in India.
Only recently came across a non magnetic tank tag (for bikes like FZ, Fazer, 200 Duke and Pulsar 200NS) available in India: Optimus S from Rynox Gears. It works with suction cups. Anybody used it and can comment on its effectiveness?
Also at Rs. 2,999 it feels a tad costly.

The best option for a non magnetic tank bag is provision of additional hookup loops on the bangs along with the bag having wraparound straps with a good quality velcro closure!Member & Administrator of Goan Biking Group named GEARS - Goan Enthusiasts And RiderS

Given a choice between a Non-Magnetic and a Magnetic Tank bag.. would you prefer a non magnetic tank bag (consider that you have a metal tank)?Originally posted by akshayhonda View PostThe best option for a non magnetic tank bag is provision of additional hookup loops on the bangs along with the bag having wraparound straps with a good quality velcro closure!

Well if I intend to keep the same bike for a longer period & also even the next bike which I'm planning to buy has a metal tank then I will opt for Magnetic tank bag.Originally posted by payeng View PostGiven a choice between a Non-Magnetic and a Magnetic Tank bag.. would you prefer a non magnetic tank bag (consider that you have a metal tank)?
But as a biker cum manufacturer if I was given a option then I would work in a direction to provide a bag that can be magnetically attached to a metal tank & had I to switch bike with a non magnetic tank, then I would want the same bag with velcro add-ons or a seperate mounting point (replaceable/removable if possible) to use the same bag on the bike (without magnetic tank). By spending a little premium over a single function/purpose tank bag.
E.G: Cramster Turtle: 1800INR is supposed to be the best tank bag on offer. If by spending a premium of around 2000-2100INR if my bag can be safely & easily can be mounted on a bike with any tank specification (magnetic or non-magnetic) I wont mind (assuming anyone wont mind also) to go for the multi purpose bag over the Turtle

My R15 will be the 2nd bike for Cramster tank bag... I have planned to use it as a tail bag now. Loving every bit of it. Iam attaching a picture of latest shifting to my bro place, the bag has a month clothes for office as well as casual. My formal and sports shoes, gym shoes are in the sack which is in front. The tank bag also includes home wear for a month along with my tablet and its chargers, some playstation cds, two towels, toiletries and essentials. Strapped it on bungee cords, the R15 has perfect mounts for such luggage, using that yellow cloth so that it doesnt create any marks. Extra pair of bungees are present, the sack also has 3liter hydration pack which is used.Originally posted by akshayhonda View PostWell if I intend to keep the same bike for a longer period & also even the next bike which I'm planning to buy has a metal tank then I will opt for Magnetic tank bag.

Same here bro... if you look at the pic, if i need more clothes during touring i can still attach another tank bag and another saddle bag, enough clothes to be on roads for 3-4months straight, yes the bike would be bit slowOriginally posted by akshayhonda View Post3K for me is out of budget!

awesome thread !! im also looking for a tank bag/tail bag.
is that the cramster turtle tank bag bro?? and can it hold a dslr,lens,5 shirts, 2 shorts, a jean, a 500ml bottle and toiletries? thats the max i carry in my bag. will this suit? also is it better upfront or behind? i think i will zero in on this.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostMy R15 will be the 2nd bike for Cramster tank bag... the website says it can be made into a backpack too. is that true?
Can vouch for these ! used it for my 1800km kerala trip with a ton of stuff including a air pump, netbook, camera, cloths, shoes. It held on well. The only drawback was safety of the luggage since there is no lock feature nor can you lock it, you cant leave it unattended and when fully loaded you cant carry it around and even if you carry it around its very cumbersome.Originally posted by aargee View PostGot mine last week; used them today as a test ride with Wifey riding pillion. Found them extremely useful & had a large storage space.

Why I like this because...
1. easily removable so that I can remove them during my regular ride to office or even when touring when I don't need them.
2. has large storage space & doesn't really need to be balanced
3. Nothing to lock up & leave it; I can carry my own personal stuffLast edited by yellowspunk; 10-04-2012, 11:11 PM.Regardless, Life shall go on.
