Okie dokie. Will get back to you with pics once done. Just one thing. The green wire from the pulse coil is coupled with the green wire from the stator coil and I have to disconnect it from the other green wire and ground it, correct?
Also, with regards to connecting the ug4 rr unit, I will have to bypass the wiring harness connector n connect the stator coil directly to the rr unit, correct?

pulse coil cannot be connected to the stator coil wire or the coil itself although one of the wire of the pulse coil can be grounded to the stator bro you missing something here
for connecting the rr you can just identify the wire white and green means where it goes in the harness and connect directly where the current rr is there. There must be green and white wire coming to the stock rr only so no need to bypass the wiring. Thoroughly inspect it otherwise you may fry something or the other.

Ok i will make it clear. Green wire from pulse coil n green from stator is coupled at the connector which comes out of the whole assembly. And as per shreeni in his first post, he said we need to ground the green wire from the pulse coil. Is that necessary?

rprathin I did as you said and have de-soldered the green wire and the coil wire of the stator coil and joined both. I cut the green wire from the pulse coil and grounded it as it was coupled with the green wire from the stator coil for ground and the green from the stator coil is not grounded anymore. Please see the attached pics. Will connect it to the RR tomorrow and update here. Please guide me if I am going wrong anywhere.

Hi,
I am doing the same mod in my Vijai Super. The lighting coils are from LML Vespa soldering in series. I have ungrounded the body earthing and tapped a new wire. Now I will be using the Ape 's rectifier unit. I have 3 questions.
1) I am not installing a battery, so do I have to install a capacitor like in a Pulsar?
2) Can I run the headlight directly with the Rectifier without a battery? 3) Is there a means to have a battery charge warning lamp like in a car?

we made Bajaj CT-100 full DC and your boxer seems to have the same setup.
Don't bother about which wires to cut and which wires to leave.

Step 1 - remove the screws and detach the poles. the three poles will comeout as a single unit. Do not touch ignition coil.

step 2 - blindly cut all the wires that are attached to the 3 poles. 1 wire is ground and the other 2 wires go to your original RR.

step 3 - rewind with 19 guage wire. we have tried 18, 18.5, 19, 19.5. after rewinding you will be left with 2 ends of the rewounded wire.

step 4 - solder the 2 ends of the wounded wire to the 2 wires that go to your original RR.
careful not to solder any end to the ground wire.

please complete these steps and I will explain the next process later(using pulsar 180 RR).

This thing is same as Unicorn's, CBZ, hero cd deluxe.
in Very simple terms
white - goes to RR
2 greens - ground
striped blue - pulse gen

for your job at the coils end you need to bother about white wire and 1 green wire thats attached to the stator.
after rewinding you need to draw two wires from the stator to the outside.
my recommendation - ignore the soldered points. pretend they don't exist. rewind the coil and solder the two ends to white wire and green wire.
now - at the plug cut the white wire and cut the green wire which you have soldered to the new wounded wire.
so what happens is you have 2 wires that are drawn out from the stator and which are ready to be connected to the new RR.
After you have completed this job the next step is installing the new RR and that needs a little work which involves relays.

• Battery warning lamp for Enfield Bullet

Dear friends, I and my colleague are in the way of restoring his bullet. As he was interested in having a battery charge warning lamp, we took the plunge and purchased a Rectifier unit of GC1000 or some Diesel rickshaw. Apart from the 3 yellow wires for 3 phase AC input, the red & black wires to battery, I am a little clueless about rest of the wires hanging from the Rectifier unit. Could someone help me identify those wires? In the attached picture, the top one is of a Diesel Rickshaw & the lower one is from the electra CI engine.

Dear all, Here is the picture of APE's rectifier doing the job in my Vijai Super.
Now comes the next question for the experts here. With the intention of having a battery warning lamp in my colleague's bullet, we had purchased a rectifier of a Diesel 3 wheeler. Could someone give me an idea on connecting the battery warning lamp or at least identifying the wire for the lamp?
Thanks

Hi,
iam planning to convert my scooty pep + to full dc. by the way have you used 19awg wire for rewinding? are the results better than stock coil? can you share your experience? iam planning to unground and use ug4. if just unground +ug4 rectifier-then how much amps do we get. and after rewinding how much amps do we get.
is it easy for us to open the stator cover and reach the stator coil without seeking the help of a mechanic?
i have already converted my yamaha crux using ungrounding and ape rr swap.
but when i rewinded the crus coil with higher guage i got low amps in low rpm so swapped back to oem stator coil with ungrounding and rr swap.
this was 4-5 yrs back i think.
now i need to convert my scooty pep + to full dc.
got ug4 rectifier in hand. pls tell me your experience so that i will save a lot of time and money.

i had rewinded my coil with 19 gauge wire and output is more than stock ungrounded coil it is somewhere between 6-6.5 amps 14.4 volts
stock coil could provide max 5 amps (12v 60 watts) mentioned on owners manual.
i had directly rewinded the coil didn't ungrounded it.
And yes with rewinded coil you will get 0 amps output when engine would be idling (just small amount of throttle output is 6 amps) but with stock ungrounded coil you would get least 2-3 amps while idling.
i would suggest to go with the stock by ungrounding it as difference is only 1.5-2 amps. If 2 amps does not matters for me it mattered.
You should see a mechanic because taking out stator coil is not easy without the magnet puller tool. For removing coil silencer has to be removed and fan also after that you will see the magnet.
