Hi friends , i am new here , and this is my first post , i need your help friends ,I have CBZ Star kick start , i want to use 55w HID and dual heavy horns and maybe a little more load later in future , i have already installed led in my meter console , all indicators are my own led made , and tail light also is my own home made with leds and parking light also is led (all lights is LED) , so friends can you tell me what i will have to do ? i have 7.2AH Exide ups battery . but i am feeling that my with HID on my horns sounds bad in low rpm , so i want more load and current in low rpm also . so please help me friends , suggest me best thing for this . Coil rewind is sufficient or i will have to use Ape rr also with it ? 3 years ago a electrician had done something in my wiring near headlight , so after that i can switch on my headlight without starting engine . and near about 2 years ago a electrician have done something in my stator coil and put a rr unit in my bike when i had upgrade my bike battery from 2.5AH to current 7.2AH battery , currently i am using 35W HID with dual horns and other normal lights (all LED) , but i want to upgrade my headlight to 55W HID Projector with dual angle eyes and demon eyes . so please suggest me best solution for this .

Re: Convert AC/DC bike to ALL DC.
what type of rr is this ? it is of Multilink company seperate regulator and rectifier combined together to work as single rr . a electrician has fitted it near about 2.5 - 3 years ago in my cbz star and had done something my in stator coil at that time to increase current output for hid .

Hello
Srinivas sr143sr
Great to hear the result of the coil rewinding .One happy guy it seems .
.
& about the relay to be used for 55/60W , please use those relay wiring KIT available for 100/90 bulbs for cars .They are much more robust & the quality & neatness of the wiring is awesome compared to the one which will be home made. They have output for two bulbs but one side can be left disconnected or you can use that for powering any auxiliary lights such as fog lights . & they come with 40amps relay .

Hello .
please confirm what he did with the stator coil . if he ungrounded the coil & used any different RRunit then you are stuck with a 35W HID , I will suggest you to do the coil rewinding with 18gauge wire + APE's RR unit . It will let you run a 55W HID along with your horns , but upgrading to 9amps battery should be future proof .

Re: Convert AC/DC bike to ALL DC.
Hi Guys, Need your help, I have posted same question on different thread but no reply. posting here too.. Any quick help really appreciated..
Hi Experts,
Need your help here.. I was having a pulsar 150 UG2 model. I have converted that to 180 first. Now changed the bike to full DC. Previously i was using a re-winded coil with 100/90 watt bulb. Now because of the the DC conversion am back to stock coil set up (I.e 35/35 Watt). Now i need to update it to at-least 60/55 set-up. I am sure the default stock wont support 100/90. So do i have an option to rewind the coil here, If i re-wind the coil also, do i need to change any other part. Planning to get Philips relay kit for the same, even planned for NGK Iridium plugs and Split fire cables, Any suggestions are really appreciated.
Cheers,
Sam
Hi Guys,

When my bike was AC/DC I did the coil rewinded from ruby electrical. Not sure they will do that on full DC stator also

Re: Pulsar 150 UG3 converted to full DC finally.
Hi Buddy,Originally posted by discoverVinu View PostHello every one, back to XBHP after long leave.
finally got some time to totally convert my P150 to Full DC using APE RR+rewinding+P150 UG2 switch asm.
reason for mod-
BCU conked off twice
due to 55/60 bulb+ Avenger coil set-up. first time BCU went off wierdly.Second time it was sudden death...I could see it was due to Avvy coil set-up....
Soln.
Got rid of BCU and contactless switches, replaced them by UG2 switch asm, got the coil rewinded at Ruby and I already had Ape RR.
now running Philips premium 55/60 in headlamp and H7 HID+P220 projector set-up on crash-gaurd. saying bye bye to headlight flicker and welcome more illumination in the form of HID.
One quick question here, You said BCU went off twice, Is that after full DC conversion with UG4 BCU or With UG3 BCU. I am converted my UG2 to full DC with UG4 wiring kit and all electricals components replaced to UG4 one. Now i need to to get the coil rewinded with higher gauge wire with Ape RR, will this set up will trouble my BCU? planning to put 60/55 or 100/90 watt bulb with a relay kit.. Your suggestions really appreciated...

So I've seen that same RR ... In the old vespas as far as I can tell its rated 80watts except the ones in the vespa was marked vespa.. My mechanic is restoring his old vespa.

I have rewinded the stator from Ruby. the stock stator which i have gave has got small poles. the guy in ruby told he will rewind new coil in different stator which has got bigger poles. as the stock wont give requied amp current if i rewind in that. got the coil today evening. now need to fix it. tomorrow will do that. will update after thatOriginally posted by mbsam2003 View PostHi Buddy,

1) What is specification/brand of the Relay should I buy to fix for my Splendor to fix 55/60 W Bulb (I wanted to fix one to save the switch.. Ones & for all) ?
2) Fit 4 Amps Maintenance Free Battery positioned in the sideways in the same 2.5 Amps Battery holder with out any mod to the battery holder, Can I install the battery in sideways?

Re: Pulsar 150 UG3 converted to full DC finally.
The stator is of pulsar. First pictures are of re-winded coil, 2nd to last is ape RR connected to pulsar stock socket, and the last one is the pole size difference between the old one and the stator ruby had given, today I was busy with my office work. Didn't got the time to fix, hopefully by next week I can fix it. Will post the out come after that, the guy in Ruby told this winding can support 100/90 halo +35 watt HID. So total current required is around 11 amp + around 4 amp for other bike electrical, so total 15 amps, need to see how much this winding will give.Originally posted by sri19022003 View PostHi Could you Pl. add description at the down of each pic. that would be more helpful & descriptive.
