    Hi Friend...
Dont follow with the above things regarding Windings and weight of the 19SWG....
Normally Glamour Electric Start 12 pole coil will be having 60 to 65 turns each pole, No need to change the Gauge. Because the Flux of the Magnet is low as compared to other vehicles. The stock setup was a Halfwave rectifier. If you change it to fullwave, its enough for all Loads. Normally Glamour start without the Battery, after modification the Bike won't startup without the Battery. But it will give enough volt & supply Max of 5 to 6 Amps if its properly connected..

    Just a simple calculation
    Headlight - 35W
    Tail Lamp - 5W
    parking lamp - 1, Speedometer Lights - 3Nos, Totally 4Nos of 3w Bulb,
Charging For Battery At 1 Amps = 10 to 12 Watts

    Overall load on the coil = 35+5+12+(Charging 10W) = 62Watts
    Amp = 62/12 = 5.16 Amps

This is more than enough to Light up a HID Kit and even for Charging a battery (Need to change all other Lights to LED)

If you want more current than this go for 19 SWG, But you wont get More than 7 Amps, Its also related to the Magnetic Flux in the Magnet

Don't wind the coil with different turns in each pole. SWG related to Current, Only turns determine the volts. Proper winding will give a good result.

If you need more help mail me at [email protected]

    Thanks
    Amjeth

    3. Stock winding(21g) giving 9.5 to 10 V only.
    4. Rewinded (19g) gave 6.5 to 7 V only.
    5. Again rewinded with 21g giving more turns.......now giving 13.5V
    6. Everything else was performed as required.

    Now issues are:
Discharge rate is faster than charging rate.
    How to rectify it?????????????????

The CDI is running from battery(12V 4Ah). therefore, whenever the battery is near to getting empty, the bike does not run as it normally does.....it kind of runs when fuel is empty.....stops ..goes...stops...goes....!!!!!

Now I having to recharge the battery at a garage.....after little long trips.....load is somewhat 120-130W.....

Please help.....how to increase charging rate??????????

    Mr Yogesh
No Need to go for Ape RR
You can buy a Pulsar UG4 RR the Part number is DJ201202... (Cost's Rs - Around 450/-)
If you want Ape RR then ask for OLD APE RR(4 wire) (Cost Rs 1100/-)

    Decide...

    Thanks

Thanks bro Amjeth , but i want to upgrade to 55w HID kit and it will take 4 - 4.5ah current and i already have dual tone horns in my bike from last 3 years and i have 7 ah ups battery from last 3 years , so for that i need to rewinding my stator coils and need Ape rr to get more current and more voltage .
here i checked everywhere , no one is selling old Ape rr unit even not the big dealers of Piaggio parts and not even service station . and i really need it very badly . but here no one is helping me in getting that ape rr unit

The said Both RR's (Ape RR & Pulsar Ug4 RR) are 10 Amps... Both are doing the same work..

So no need to worry about that...

        Thanks...

Do you know any good auto electrician who rewind stator coils with machine, pls let me know if you are aware of any such mechanic in delhi, as i am also looking for an goog auto electrician for my bike's coil rewinding, becuase if the work is not handled properly then electricals will get screwed up.

Amjeth bro are you sure about the output of ape rr and ug4 rr ? because i have always read that old Ape rr output is 20amp and new ape rr output is 27amp , and i have always read that pulsar rr output is maximum 4.5amp or 5 amp . do you know any place where i can get original Ape rr unit ?

The Ape RR can pump up Max of 15Amps not more than that..
The Pulsar UG4 can pump up Max of 8 Amps (96 Watts). I checked it... The heat sink will get heat, but that wont be a problem.
UG4 RR is enough for all the bikes Bcoz no bike was there to produce more than 9 to 10 Amps. I already said that is related with the Magnetic flux in the Rotor. If any one want more than 10Amp the bike thats require field coil type Alternator.

              But any way...
Check with the part number in three wheeler Spares shop.

              Part No: ED22158

              Thanks

The new ape rr will max out at 27 amps old one was 20 amps only. The ug4 rr will give max 5.56 amps, i have tested ug4 rr with multimeter

Try Pulsar 200NS 's RR. I believe it is also single phase( I saw only a total of 4 wires). It is also quite bigger than a normal RR and is doing a good job in my friend's 200NS with 2 horns and a 100/90w bulb.

If 200NS's RR is available at your place, I will give you further information like pics, amperage, heat dissipation etc.

this pic below shows the winding has to be done clock wise and anti cw for e.g. like 1st is CW then second would be ACW and then the third would be CW and this how it goes for the remaining poles

Thanks brother rprathin . but i just worried about the ignition coils , what i will do with them ? Do you have any idea about CBZ Star coils ? where these Ignition coils goes ? in cbz rr unit or directly in cdi or in engine ? what i will have to do with them ? maybe tomorrow i will open my stator coil or maybe after 2 days , first i will have to buy 19swg wire and varnish and and fibre glass sleaves only after that i will proceed ahead for removing old wires from stator and then rewind with new wire . Do you have any idea how much current and voltage i will get with this 19swg wire and ape rr ?
