Yup... I am frantically looking for alternatives as honda is adamant on charging Rs 6000 a litre !
I am sure it will be available somewhere in Mumbai ... My bro is in mumbai for a couple of days, so would be great if we find this...

i switched to valvoline 4T premium 20w50 oil today for my pulsar 220..
how is the oil? i mean is it better than the castrol one??
also, the oil level is a little over the upper mark. is it ok?

MRP is 306 INR.

It s a superb oil.

If u want a similar oil in 20W40 grade, there is Valvoline Champ 4T. It costs 238 INR (MRP again).

Complete VFM, considering both are Semi Synthetic.

Forget it. You will not get it anywhere. I called the Honda Wing World and the carpenter answered the call saying that the showroom is not ready yet. That's the only place you might get it.

May I know what's the usual changing period with this semisynthetic oil and is it wise to use it after running my bike for over 50k Km's with normal oil (I think normal oils are mineral oil rite)...

U can safely use semi synthetics for 3k~4k kms.(Drain period)

And no problems if u had used only mineral oil till now, u can use semi synth/fully synth now

Thats sad ... you know why the showrooms are getting delayed ? They should have opened way back in feb-march... its because of our lovely government and corrupt bureaucrats .... and Honda has a policy of never going out of the way to get something done.......

I just put Castrol Power 1 Racing (fully synth) in my Pulsar 200 y'day & def feel the diff for the better! The bike has almost changed its usual grunty character to that of a polished athlete !! Vibes have gone down by like 5 notches . My bike has done like 11.5 K so far ...

But then suddenly i feel did i do wrong? 10W40 as against the recommended 20W50 !!?

Do i have to drain the it quickly due to lower rating ?? Also trace signs of the infamous head leak (v less though) Insights? Recommendations

The strange thing is that alongwith power 1 racing a small manual is provided where they have compared to it to a 20W50 mineral oil & showed the castrol synth oil beating it in all aspects !

I've searched for petronas which I could not find (Castrol's are a plenty)
Also are all 20w50 oils semi synthetic? Sorry for my ignorance
