i need help

as far as i know

this model of the thunderbird requires an engine oil of 20W40 grade



and this new thunderbird twinspark requires an engine oil of 15W50 grade



unfortunately i've lost my service manual and i have no clue what grade oil is recommended for my thunderbird 2007...



till now my mechanic was putting 20W50 Total engine oil.
Before that when i used to get my bike serviced at the RE workshop, they used to put in Veedol engine oil; i don't know what grade.

Can anybody plz tell me what is the recommended grade of engine oil with JASO and API ratings and a preferred oil brand as well.

Engine Oil Reccomendations Please

I own A TVS Apache RTR180. I am currently using TVS TRU4 engine oil recommended by the TVS company. When the oil is changed it feels good and gear shifts are smooth but after sometime performance starts decreasing. Engine gets heated up quickly. Oil Standards 20W40. ODO 1200km.

hi guys,

What happen if we add some extra oil say about 100 ml or regular oil change what i noticed is that the bike feels rough and slugish .

What do u say guys

i hav 1 question...i hav recently changed d engine oil..(motul 5100)..but engine gets heated in very short time...wat may b d prob?? any suggestions for me....plzzz

This must be due to improper tuning. try getting it tuned properly.

Just received the call... MOTUL semi synthetic 10W 40(5100) available in CHENNAI for Rs 395 .The distributor said only 20 litres availableand i just poured 300V in my bike .

Go ahead and use it. It is a good oil for your bike. Buzz the Bangy guys... a bunch of them should have used it in their FZ's.
