For that matter, I did not feel ANY difference in my R15 with fully syhthetic oil. But then, when I had to shift back to mineral once, I felt a handsome amount of difference that shows that my bike was running better with the synthetics. I would vote for the AGIP oil u are using instead of the CP1R. See for some more time. BTW, what's the price you paid for the oil?

I use Petronas Sprinta 4T 5000 Fully Synthetic. Getting it shipped here from Mumbai so far.

i have been sticked to the Yamaha semi synthetic prior to that i was using Motul 300v, its a good but being thinner the engine was a bit quite crispy and some what noisy.

Brother kindly note that Motul 300V is not a 5W40 but its 15 w 50

I am tired of searching around for the Motul 5100/300v in 10w40 variants. The dealers are completely unaware of it. They say only 15W50 is the grade which is available, may be Motul hasn't launched the product across thec country.

              • Engine oil displosal

Guys, this might be a silly question, but since im not aware i'd certainly like to know.
How to dispose of the used engine oil after replacement. I cannot through it away just like that in the normal trash neither can I pour it down the drain as its harmfull for the envirnment.
What options do I have to dispose it off..?
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Local mechs have told me that its used in some construction process. Construction people come by to collect the used engine oil from garages. I've found no other way to dispose it.

                          • ^^^ that's not the way to read the chart in the manual. Anyway, you stick to 20W40 or 10W40 for the GS. Semi Synth - Gulf Pride is a good option. Synth - Motul, Petronas and AGIP options should be available for you. Check with other guys in Chennai about the availability.

                              • Cherry Agencies on JC road is ripping people off by selling Motul 300V at INR 895. The same oil is available at Motorcycle House( in the lane off SBI JC road) for INR 750. So, xbhpians buying Motul may choose to head to Motorcycle House as the savings are considerable.

                                Cheers,
