Re: Helmets
Any suggestions on quality modular helmet guys? I am from Kolkata and ride a AS200. It is hot, humid, dusty and I have been gifted an Ares A1 when I got my ride. It has been 3 months and this lid is very, very uncomfortable. I need a modular but not Vega, Studd or similar cheaply made lids. I have eyes on the MT and SMK with a Budget not beyond 8K. I need something which doesn't has condensation issue or fogging due to breath. Not very silent, neither noisy. I prefer clear visors and it HAS to be comfortable. Right now I feel like my head in a Microwave smaller than my head. I use a bandana to cover my mouth and nose, the helmet has caused skin rashes on my face.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Re: Helmets
Hi. I am from Kolkata and I use a MT Axxis Helmet. MTs are pretty comfortable. They cost about half of your budget. Head over to B. P. Roadies and after trying out a few helmets, buy the one that fits right. Happy Riding!Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostAny suggestions on quality modular helmet guys? Re: Helmets
I'm using a LS2 full face helmet from last 3 years. Now during few long rides I felt that after riding approx 500kms or more I'm having back neck pain, just below the head.
Is it due to the weight of the helmet that is 1.5Kgs or there could be some posture issue of riding? Any suggestions?

BP Roadies is fine but do check Wellington for more options. I'm not able to recall the name of the store who sells decent amount of good brand helmets in Wellington, they are the official dealer of Cramster.

Re: Helmets
Thanks for the response brother. I had been to B. P. Roadies and unfortunately Bunty bhai was on a tour and the guys there had no idea what I was talking about. I had went to him to buy everything, gear, lights, AUX lights, etc. Returned with a 3M microfiber (they charged me MRP) and the replaced the scratched visor on the existing Ares. I have messaged him on FB and he took my whatsapp details too but never reverted.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostHi. I am from Kolkata and I use a MT Axxis Helmet. MTs are pretty comfortable. Re: Helmets
I am not very keen on stepping into unknown territory. I have heard if you are a newbie they sense it and make a fool out of you. I have never been there and most people in this business are not honest. I would rather stick to places I know. Trust me, I am told it's a biker paradise and I am very curious to visit that place but, I am scared to be conned.Originally posted by hypheni View PostI'm using a LS2 full face helmet from last 3 years. Re: Helmets
What you said or have in your mind is not correct for showrooms which actually exists in Wellington. I'm not saying you go and look around into those footpaths who sells cheap helmets.Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostI am not very keen on stepping into unknown territory. You should visit 'Motor & Cycle Supply Stores' this is just at the front of Wellington market and they are the official seller of Cramster and other brands.
And yes, that BP Roadies at Khanna sometimes purchase some stock from this store.
So if you are looking for a good international brand helment you have only three options IMO, i.e. Online, Wellington, Khanna (BP Roadies only)

Re: Helmets
You can check Gear up, near jaggubazar in Kolkata.
I own an ls2, MT Mugello, and Kranos ffh and my advice is stay away from ls2. They don't come close to MT in terms of finishing and quality.
But, do check out both gear up and B. P. Roadies for premium helmet. Wouldn't suggest wellington for non-Isi brands.

Re: Helmets
Bro, dude, I guess you have the ability to get an idea when I mentioned I am looking for quality stuff and I know that I won't get it on footpath. I am in an industry where I don't get off from work easily, by the time I am free shops are shut and so it is difficult for me to ride to BP and find no one capable to assist. I am not good at bargaining and quality of product they sell you (if you don't have the knowledge) is doubtful. Yes, I will visit someday and try this experience but, I am sure the kind of gear that we discuss here is not exactly what we get there. It is mostly an accessory market for Bikes.Originally posted by hypheni View PostWhat you said or have in your mind is not correct for showrooms which actually exists in Wellington. Re: Helmets
I understand your point. Your best option would be online shop I guess. You will definitely get a lot variety in online stores rather in offline. Do let us know about your purchase mate.Originally posted by Hunterkol View PostBro, dude, I guess you have the ability to get an idea when I mentioned I am looking for quality stuff and I know that I won't get it on footpath.
