Re: Helmets
See if you can go for HJC IS-17. Amazing ventilated helmet and also sharp rated (if I am not wrong). Should cost you anywhere staring from 15k I guess.Originally posted by TheQuarterMile View PostAnyone using a HJC CL-17 or FG - 17? Wanted to ask if there is any space in the helmet for putting bluetooth intercom speakers?

XL isn't available in 710Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostSTG right now has a closeout deal going on for $79.95, checkout revzilla too.
Any other USA based websites to check for closeout deals besides Revzilla, STG and Motorcyclegear?

Any idea on how low does the 710 go for?Originally posted by Jitu Badlani View PostR420 is really a nice lid from Scorpion.
I was looking to import one too, but my friend will be coming back next year so dropped the import plan.
Ended up ordering Scorpion Exo 710 Air, a good lightweight fibreglass composite shell, speakers cutouts, anti-fog, pinlock max vision ready visor with insert included.
In India we get European models of Scorpion.
If you are going down USA import route do check out closeout deals on Exo R710.

Was considering the Scorpion EXO R420 (SNELL certified) or the AGV K3 SV. Any other recommendations around that price point?
There are some good closeout deals on the previous Scorpion EXO R410 also..
Want something with provision for bluetooth speaker pockets and good sound isolation. Preferably not a tuck down one.

Re: Helmets
A good purchase. Do pick a Pinlock 70 shield for this and complete the purchaseOriginally posted by Shashank K R View PostFinally ended up buying MT Thunder3.

My head size is 59cm, but oddly I had to get the XL (61-62cm). L was too tight.
It was the only helmet which fit me correctly. To avoid the HJC scenario, I wore it for nearly 1.5 hours in the store.
Ride safe, ATGATT.

Re: Helmets
As many helmet manufacturers have described how to measure the head size for choosing the Helmet size , I followed the same .Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostCheck the size ranges of the helmet you've chosen. 55cms is usually S in most helmets, I think you've not measured the size correctly
.
Check at the widest part of the skull, or search Google for how to check it correctly.
And found that's correct!
I double checked the measurement to found 57 cms .
*Actually the measuring tape should be placed rounding on the head .
( just above the ears )
So sticking with L is good ,I hope !!

Don't have the detailed pics but this is Axor carbon helmet
You see those Matt silver plastic vents and deflector on top. They have sharply designed.
That color was chipping out from the corners as i get out of the shop and ride merely 15kmsLast edited by saorabbh; 10-25-2018, 05:32 PM.

Re: Helmets
Cool thanks, I'll check some MT and scorpion helmets.Originally posted by saorabbh View PostWell my friend have Axor Carbon fiber helmet worth 11k
but its extremely light weight that your head will get confused of whether you're wearing a helmet or not lol!! Jokes apart!
But you can give it a try actually. Build quality is not great and felt not worth the money we're paying. but its really light weight.
Can't say much about MT (never used any) but looking at users feedback its great!
Smk, is bang for buck but not really great in terms of durability. All my friends are just complaining about wind noise due to quality issue.

The AGV was loose on the sides like the SOLs.
Bell qualifier had a pressure point at the top of my head
.
Any other options? Perhaps MT/SMK/AXOR?
