I am using MT mugello jerome helmet for 2 months now. I bought it from dehradun at a price of 4200 after discount. I am very much satisfied using this as my first helmet. It is not that heavy but when you hold it you know that you can trust this. Helmet fit is very good. There is some noise though, but you can ignore that as it's not that much as its only when you take you bike above 100km/hr. Air circulation is aslo good and you can feel air inside. Anti fog visor is working great but in order to make it work you need to be atleast above 40 km/ hr. It doesn't have double visor so to use it during sunlight you can remove and replace the visor with a tinted one which is very easy as it has a one click removal for visor. I feel safe driving above 100kms/hr with this helmet.

Re: Helmets
You can check with AH helmets https://goo.gl/maps/jm2boDWit532Originally posted by faysal_khan View PostAddresses os shop names in Mumbai? I'm really confused.
They are one of the reputed dealers and deal with most brands MT, SOL, HJC, SMK, LS2, THH, ZEUS, REVOLT and many imported brands SHIRO, BELL, AIROH etc etc all in one place, you can physically compare all helmets side by side to clear your confusion and choose whichever you feel like.
There are few modular helmets on offer from SMK, LS2, THH, STUDDS NINJA etc etc. Even if something available with them or if not on display, they are pretty helpful to get it from their stock warehouse or procure it from outside for you.Last edited by kiran2508; 01-05-2019, 11:18 AM.

Also, helmets come in only 2 shell sizes M/L, XL/XXL. Then for M and L or XL and XXL adjustments will be made using cheek padding size.
Finding XXL will be difficult, instead directly picking up XXL at first, you can pickup a XL which will commonly available and at first it'll tight fit but make adjustments to padding and eventually helmets padding will loosen itself after usage.

Re: Helmets
I'm in Mumbai. I contacted the dealer from where I got the helmet.. They are ready to replace the padding but can't ship it to Mumbai and regarding the fraying of the strapt they said it's cause of the velcro from the gloves. Tbh I have learn to live with it. No biggie.Originally posted by Sird View PostHey got any solution ?

Mine has no problem in 6 months of ownership but I'm kind of sure AGV sellers in India won't provide any warranty for the product bought online.
Still you can check by calling them.
Where are you located?

Re: Helmets
Stick to HJC. And with a 10K budget, CL-17 can be bought. I have been using it for an year, and it's super comfortable. And I'm more than comfortable inside knowing it's Snell certified too. Go for it.Originally posted by Raman Swaminathan View PostThanks for the response!
This is going to be my first major helmet upgrade. you think I should stick to the CS15 or is it worth stretching the budget to get the CL17?
Also, how would you compare it to the Sol 68 S2?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Sorry for the follow up questions, as my range is till 10k, is there a better helmet or is it best to stick to HJC here?

Ordered a K3-SV from motorcyclegear.com and this is what happened with my helmet after two weeks of use..
They told me to send the helmet back and they will replace the strap and padding or provide a refund. Should I be worried?

Always welcome mate. Ride safe.Originally posted by Kshah View PostBought SMK Twister, yesterday, for 4300, Matt Black color.
I liked helmet a lot. I must mention that I have no experience of such quality helmet. My last purchase was Studds Ninja before about 15 years (that time this one was best available). Later I was not riding for 13 years.
Noise is very low, visor is good and it comes with PinLock, which is said to be costing about 1000 bucks. Lining and padding is secure and make feel good.
Thanks to this thread to helping me making appropriate decision
