Re: Helmets
There is shelf life of Everything most manufactures recommend 7 years from the date of manufacturing, but 3 to 5 years is maximum life of the styrofoam or whatever padding is used inside the lid.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostBut Inderjeet bhai i start using it since last 3 years
Even if u don't use it the internals gets aged, i change at 4 to 5 years.

Re: Helmets
6 years means it is already way past its intended life max life is 3 to 4 years after that the inside padding starts to get useless and loses its safety. Better change it now.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostHaan its almost 6 years old ..
Tape on the backside is to hide scratches (from that accident)
And on front side wisor (half cover) to avoid sunlight directly on eyes. JUGAAD

Re: Helmets
Why I am very sure-shot about new helmet is that because Met with an accident.. at dabri, new delhi flyover on 03.01.2019.. lucky there is some Bruces..but nothing serious..
Damn swift hitnrun.
One thing i learnt today.. DELHI IS NOT AT ALL SAFE SPECIALLY FOR TWO WHEELER .
I was on scooter .. You can see the condition after accident. ..
I was wearing Studd Ninja Helmet.. the impact was so strong that i was in state of shock for atleast 30 minutes and could not stand.

Ls2 is diffrent league , for studds i have 2 one is 4 year old amd one is 1 year old and padding is still good as new, for steel bird they have very thin pads which do not grip the face well and are mostly lose.
