Seems ok, I've to try the Scorpion sometime.

The AGV was loose on the sides like the SOLs.
Bell qualifier had a pressure point at the top of my head.

Any other options? Perhaps MT/SMK/AXOR?

If searched locally in Mumbai you may get better deal.
These helmets are worth that money brother. Especially Bell Qualifier

Hello guys,

Please suggest a Safe helmet with low wind noise for weekend rides. I already have a Kranos helmet with my daily commute but its extremely noisy. Its so noisy at 90-100kmph that i cannot even hear a car honking right behind me. Earplugs are out of consideration as i don't want to compromise my situational awareness.

Considering i may upgrade to 600-900cc class in 6 months. New helmet should provide excellent protection and least wind noise.

Budget is 5-8k

Considering you're going to upgrade to 600-900 cc bike in future the 5-8k helmet won't be the good option. They all start to wobble/shake above 120 speed. You must get proper and aerodynamic helmet which can withstand speeds above 120kmph
Do not hurry up to buy a helmet. Up your budget till 20-25k and get Agv or ARAI etc.

Fc-moto is great website. Prices here are really good. Before you ordered check the final price includes shipping.
Though you might have to pay extra custom duty. But if you're lucky then you'll get it at no extra cost.
My friends ordered Dainese full leather suit at no custom duty. Also HJC 50k helmet at no custom. It's all about luck. So give it a try.

Bell you can get at 8k from highnoteperformance which is great.

Yeah accurately 55 cms ,I measured right now !! (21-22) inches

Whether I should go XL or stick with L ?

Check the size ranges of the helmet you've chosen. 55cms is usually S in most helmets, I think you've not measured the size correctly.

Check at the widest part of the skull, or search Google for how to check it correctly.

which are 560,580,600 mm respectively !

I feel L is literally tightened up but XL feels little shaky when weared !!!

Usually European helmets have a tigher fit than most Asian brand helmets for the same size. It's good to go for a helmet that fits a little snugger as opposed to on the looser side. Helmet pads overt time lose their thickness and eventually give you a perfect fit. When they're new they're would fit tighter than expected. Measure your head crown circumference with a measuring tape and cross check it with the size chart referenced with the brand helmet you're buying.

Most Indian heads fall in the L range depending on the brand. Make sure you take into account your cheeks, a flabbier cheek with a tigher helmet would mean a little difficulty till the helmet beds in with usage.

My personal suggestion would be to go for a slightly snugger fitting helmet as opposed a loose one.

From your measurement, you fall in the S to M range. Choose wisely.
