Mine took a good 2 months just to make sure I remove it easily, but it still compresses my cheeks and chewing on a bubblegum is a nightmare. Oh my! And your hair that's a mess each time.

Ya I missed out on the hair part totally.. I am sure everytime I remove the helmet, hair is gonaa get broken or pulled apart and become messy.

Putting on is ok but removing is a heavy task.
Will put for replacement with the XL size.

Thank you for all your inputs ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

But the problem is it seems to be tight for me especially the cheeks are getting pressed too much and removing the helmet feels like my ears are gonna tear off.

Please suggest that if this normal in SMK brand as the same L size in MT was quite good for me.
Should I go ahead and order the XL size?
But i feel it might too loose for me as the size chart says size XL is for 61 cm head size. I am confused now

If anyone using the same brand or has any insight on this then it would be of great help.

    Thank you

MEP, that's exactly the reason I opened up the gamut to him. Just so he is all the more informed and makes an informed choice. Tons of lids out there, each with different shell types (moulds) and sizes. So, this should just help him in the process.

There are no helmets with a small shell size in that price.
As mentioned above, you can get a small size fit, but the shell size remains the same.

I assume he asked about small shell size and not small fitment size.

You have a gamut of helmet manufactures these days right from MT to SMK to Steelbird to Studds to LS2 to even imported brands of your size (SMALL). I'd recommend you to check the SMK
Helmets, excellent value for money helmets closely followed by Studds and then MT and the likes.

Guys, What is the usual weight of a Helmet.
Mine weighs 1.66Kg (without camera) and I get bad neck pain when I ride my bike(with or without camera)
On the scooty I have no problems.

Can you guys recommend a lighter helmet?

I researched for hemlets and I found that HJC FG 17 is a lightweight helmet But I cannot find the weight.
AGV K1 weighs 1.55Kg but both of these are way out of my budget for now.

    I currently own SOL Metalman

Comfortable fit.good liners.ventillation is not that good(when compared with hjc cl-17)in terms of noise reduction, both of these are almost same(loud).stellar does have a slight edge due to chin curtain.stellar is stable at high speeds too.

    No sorry.

    Little confusion here.

FG-17 dont come with speaker pockets but it is SNELL ECE rated.

FG-ST comes with speaker pockets and sun visor but comes with DOT ECE rating.

Both are equally priced. And have same shell design.

    Re: Helmets

I was looking for some light mode for my helmet and came across this site by sheer chance.

I had seen the original light mode site where the same design is available for $129 plus shipping charges from Canada. In Lifestore it cost me just $ 34.99 including shipping. The price has again dropped ny $10 when I checked it last night. The design is the exact same, probably these guys supply them ! !

There was one difference though. When I ordered it , the site said the battery pack / control unit was rechargeable and it comes with adhesive in the back. I got a regular control unit where I have to put 2 AA battery and it came with a clip. So now I have to figure out to fix it to the helmet. The LED strip and the control unit is supposed to be waterproof which I will have to test in the rain.

The control unit has a button which cycles through - Constant glow, slow blink, fast blink and off.

The item came after 26 days after ordering ( tracking is available) . I will mount it today or tomorrow and put a video.
