In amazon hjc starts at 5,645/- . do have a look at it too. Cl max II i guessOriginally posted by theFoa View PostOk so reading your comments I feel like SMK is the best choice for the budget I have. One last thing I would like to know.
With a snug fit a visor closed, how much air noise do we get? Because in steebird that I currently use, that's my biggest problem.

Re: Helmets
Air noise is not much of an issue...its fairly quite upto 70kmph...after that you might hear some noise on your left side due to the dual visor switchOriginally posted by theFoa View PostOk so reading your comments I feel like SMK is the best choice for the budget I have. You can go for mt and others two if u increase your budget but u have to buy pinlock with it that too if the visors has provision for it.
Mt mugello, blade alpha , thunder 3 are good options if not smk. Axor is good but the antifog visor doesn't work.
And i think bell qualifier if u are lucky then should cost around 7k.Ok so reading your comments I feel like SMK is the best choice for the budget I have. I currently own one and also tried my friends MT mugello.....i felt both of them are equally good. Just remember...in smk go for a size bigger than your usual size.

Re: Helmets
I can feel why you are suggesting one size bigger as mine is s size and it really was ultra snug for a long time but now it is comfy and snug.Originally posted by Revminister View PostSMK is VFM... amazing build quality....great comfort and ventilation, gets dual visors, and pinlock comes pre installed. I've never seen SMK being counted as one of the good ones like MT, THH or HJC.
From what I've heard SMK is just an overhyped Indian brand that isn't worth it. Please share you opinion if you've used it and had an actual experience where it saved you or someone you know.

It costs 4.3k. or you can also go for it's elder brother the glide. Its a modular helmet and is priced at 5.3k
Remember both these helmets are ECE certified

I'm an amateur rider who takes weekend trips once in two months or so.
Till now I was using a steelbird air helmet which works pretty decently but it gets a little boring for long solo rides.
Can you suggest a helmet with speaker slots for music and of course one that is safe, preferably DOT and SNELL (but this seems out of budget) and anti-fog(pinlock or antifog visor, I don't have a preference there). Budget is around 5000-6000.
Also, I live in Bangalore, so info about shops where I can get original helmets at decent prices will be appreciated.
Thanks
