But our helmets still won't have ISI mark even if all these brands do get the ISI certification and we would surely be harassed by the local authorities.

Since ISI stands below ECE DOT SNELL certification, I assume they already passed the ISI testing without actual testing.
70% of all imported helmets are above 1300g. Only high quality material/ top of the line series helmets are light weight i.e. below 1300g. and they are only allowed to sell imported helmets if they get ISI certification. I wish if they get the ISI mark, then instead of printing on helmet they should provide the sticker in the box itself
But we know there is always someone who will misuse it.

We haven't heard from international manufacturers regarding the ban issue.
let them decide what to do first that's what I think. We do have power of what you're talking but India being largest growing market, they also won't let it go just like that.

Vega Cara seemed the best, but it was only available in large size. Steelbird sba2 padding was uncomfortable. Shifter only available in large size. And sba1 there was limited stock.

Then you don't have a choice here..
May it be studds or Vega ... Remember don't compromise features such as safety, Proper ventilation, and better visibility for looks.

I've seen many vloggers on YouTube reviewing fancy cheap helmets just because the look cool.

Many studds or Vega helmet visors are not optically corrected or they won't open fully causing bad visibility I.e. Vega off-road helmet.
You'll choose ISI today just to save yourself from paying challans to govt. But you'll regret it just like me while commuting.

So make sure you get proper helmet and not the show item.
🤟🏼 let us know which one you bought and why.[emoji16]

I mean vega offroad helmet is having visor too curver which warps the road around corner or while checking the mirrors. Also they're made of cheap material and they get scratched easily which will disperse the oncoming light during night time making us uneasy to see the road/ potholes.
It's been 4 years I'm using SOL Unicorn II helmet. I did stickerbomb my VEGA offroad helmet now but hardly use it to get milk or grocery from nearby shop.. would never commute wearing VEGA.

Padding thickness and quality, and the rubber beading on the bottom edges on the vega it is not present in most models.
Try to look for vega cara if u want vega.
And in studds shifter and thunder are good, studds scorpion is both dot and isi so does the vega cara.
On the thunder d3 i swapped the mirror visor with normal tinted one for better night view.

Even if they launch 20k carbon fiber then also i won't purchase a helmet of that kind of brand with pathetic quality.

    Grab LS2 if possible.
Or look for Fastrack helmets in there showrooms.
Their paddings are far better than studds or Vega.
Btw what do you want an ISI mark helmet?
I still won't buy even after ISI raised their standard at Snell level.
LOL ! I don't want that mark behind my helmet. [emoji1]
