Thanks bro!Originally posted by Sarvajit View Post@tibby: Congrats on the new S07! I thought you would get it in a red combo to match it up with your red R15!
The attached pic was the other colour option I had. Looking at the pics, I thought it had too much white, & I also happened to see this black one in flesh.
Since a known devil is better than an unknown angel, I picked the black one.

Congratulations on the Sparx. Good choice. IRonically the prices of Sparx are higher than the prices of KBC helmets.Originally posted by tibby View PostYa, its one of the best helmets in its price range.
It is. I belive KBC had a lot of spare production capacity, hence starting manufacturing this new brand (SparX) of lower priced helmets (compaerd to KBC). Its one of the highest selling helmet brands.
The white one looks a little 'soft'. Good choice with the black one.Originally posted by tibby View PostThanks bro!

that is a strange range of budgetOriginally posted by Sachinnair View PostBudget around 3.5k - 8.5K max.. Was thinking options like Cross, LS2, Sparx, R Jays etc.... Guys please provide your inputs.. Will be buying it tomorrow.
anyway, its a helmet,i suggest you spend the 8K and get a SparX and some AGV's are also available in tht range
if you really want to stick to a 3.5k budget go for LS2 thenSmoke rubber, not tobacco.

Are they! I thought the MSRP of KBC was a bit higher
They retail higher than the SparX though. Didn't find any KBC lower than USD 80 IIRC.
I thought soo too. Plus it looks empty. The rear profile is bloody awesome though (see attached).Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostThe white one looks a little 'soft'. Good choice with the black one.

It is strongly advised to try a helmet before zeroing in on the right size.Originally posted by Sachinnair View PostHi guys... Currently I have Gliders MC1.. Now looking to have a better helmet..Which helmets can I get in M size as M size would fit me properly.. L size is too big...
Budget around 3.5k - 8.5K max.. Was thinking options like Cross, LS2, Sparx, R Jays etc.... Guys please provide your inputs.. Will be buying it tomorrow.
An M is usually similar across brands, but not same. Try one before you buy it.
If your budget is really 3.5k-8.5k, I would strongly recommend an Rjays, KBC, SparX S07, Scorpion Exo-400, or HJC CL-16 (in no particular order).
The choice will also depend on where you plan to get the helmet from (Mumbai, Bangalore, US etc)
There are numerous credible reviews on webbikeworld.com, & on YouTube.
I spent a lot of time in researching for reviews at these places. Would recommend the same.
Hope this helps.

Since graphics is purely a personal choice, I wouldn't comment on that.
The Kintaro looks like a glossy finish helmet, while the Nemesis looks like a matte finish one.
I would advise picking a glossy helmet over a matte one as they are less prone to scratches, easier to clean, & offer more visibility.
Regarding the shell, the S07 is a time proven product (Also the fact that SparX offers a free replacement warranty in the event of a crash!)

Thats for the folks in the US. If you are in USA and crash with a SparX lid, all you need to do is forward a copy of the police report and they'll replace your helmet for free.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostMore information needed.

A half face helmet will not offer any chin protection, but is very airy since...well the bottom part is open!Originally posted by rajivnairr View PostCan anyone shed some lights on the credibility of a half face helmet? I ride a TBTS and a full/half face just doesnt go with it...Are there any good ones readily available? If not, any place I can source them from?
I wouldn't agree that full face helmets don't go with TBTS, but if you do like half face helmets, you could check out Studds Marshall/Vega Eclipse (half face version of Boolean with inner visor i.e., sunglasses) all falling within Rs.1K.
Have a look at these sites: www.studds.com
World Class Helmets Made in India
www.thehelmetshoppe.com
I use a Studds Marshall half face for riding around when its too sunny to wear my full face helmet, or nearby my place.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
