Re: Helmets
try filling in the gap with sponge,go to any mattress shop in your city and buy sponge and after wearing the helmet just fill stuff it in the gap, however this is just a measure of giving tight fitting on your cheeks, the main circumference of your brain is still vulnerable if you feel its lose at the top of the headOriginally posted by NitSpeed200 View Post

Re: Helmets
I have an idea. You should buy a good balaclava and then get some pocket stitched to it to keep foam in place near the cheekOriginally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostThe top of the head is fitting good

Re: Helmets
You can try using a balaclava - should give you a more snug fit. But that said, a loose helmet will move about at high speeds - bit dangerous.Originally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostRecently I bought a cross. its model is cross phobia, similar to ls2 phobia. I just want to know whether I can increase the cheek padding since I bought a large size when I needed a medium size. I did that since in my town there's only 1 dealer for cross helmet and they had only small and large size in stock

Re: Helmets
hey pranav I found that the cheek pads are removable and its fixed using a button like stuff, so I removed the pads and stuffed a layer of sponge between the inner wall and cheek pads and again fixed the cheek pads. the pads fits securely and now the helmet fits perfectlyOriginally posted by xpranav View Posti think doing so will render it useless and imperfect. please do not tamper the helmet try some other alternative instead of that

Finally got my new Lid..Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostYes if you like the TIH, then go for it. If you find anything better in the same brand, range, budget try considering them too or try considering LS2 as last ditch, considering the latter is comparatively better than the better.

Use medium grade sand paper and brush it lightly, you're all set.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostHow to get rid of the rust on the buckle/strap of LS2 helmets? Had kept it stored in the box during rains, got rusted due to moist weather.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Helmets
Its very difficult to find ls2 in surat. So I am considering studd's scorpion. If someone has used it please mention pros and cons. Also tell about
1) ventilation
2) noise level at different speed.
3) comfort
I have read that prateek2210 and Devesh have used it, but I couldn't find their review.

Re: Helmets
Hi, though I cannot help you with your immediate query and can wait for others to put in their views to help you out still I feel like putting up an advice. As you have difficulty in finding a LS2 in Surat you may buy it online and the courier will be delivered. But to decide the helmet size you may catch up with the guys at G2G nearest to Surat and try the LS2 from fellow members to figure out your size.Originally posted by skv View PostIts very difficult to find ls2 in surat. Why I am asking you to do all this is because there is no denying of the difference in the comfort offered from a LS2 (with more vents and relatively better and removable padding) and a Studds
.One more option to count is TIH, they are new to Indian market and are aggressive in picking up the market share. Please take a look at few posts back to get a FB link to get in touch with TIH people. I hope you understand my concern and advice

Re: Helmets
1)The vents on top and the one on your mouth work well. Don't expect it to be as ventilated as ls2.Originally posted by skv View PostIts very difficult to find ls2 in surat. So I am considering studd's scorpion. If someone has used it please mention pros and cons. Also tell about

2)Heavy wind noises creep in at 60 kmph. Sol: I use SPG ear plugs[cost INR 90], and they are good. No irritating noises. I dont ride beyond 85-90, so wouldn't know about sounds further.
3)For you to check. Try it on. Fits snugly. Best padding you will find in this price range. Little heavy at 1450 gm. Doesn't matter much, you get used to it. I haven't experienced any aches.
I am currently using second Scorpion. Crashed at about 80kmph with the first one, and it did it's job very well. Chin strap is amazing. Immediately went and bought another Scorpion. You can see the pictures a few pages back.

Re: Helmets
@addyrulz01 Definitely not going to ask whom you got it from
But my favorite livery, the Top Gun seal on the back, makes me even more restless.
Kudos buddy.

My Helmets Fly !!!
So it's the second time in 10 months that my helmet just vanished from my sight !!!
Once was in Noida (Dec 2012), kept the helmet on the table in a dhaba, went to the cashier to pay and turned around to see only one glove resting on the table, with 3 friends around, we actually concluded that my Cross helmet flew off !!!
Last night similar scenario, but at Naturals Ice-cream parlor in KP, Pune. My LS2 flew off from the cash counter while I was tendering-coconut !!!
So, my helmet search is on again (not finding the old ones
) but buying another !!! Now I want SOL, but we in pune are deprived of a SOL dealer...
I'll be in B'lore for the weekend, and need your advice and help. Budget around 5k. Where to buy SOL in B'lore?
And if any suggestions/other brands in the budget...
