For good lightweight helmets you can try AIROH, second up on the line comes SOL and then LS2. Some models of the LS2 are comparatively light weight than other models, that's why I always insist on wearing the helmet in person, to not to make the same mistake I made.

Try AIROH helmets from Bachoo Motors. Bachoo Motors
SOL from Spartan ProGear. Spartan Pro Gear|Home Page

Tech Design Team Uk Ltd - Ls2helmetsYES it is the same model,The old FF 350 was bulkier and weighed approx 300 gms more. The current model is compact in look and is much lighter at approx 1300 +/-50 gms without any compromise on safety. It still complies with the ECE/DOT safety standards and had received 4 star Sharp ratings.
                    Lasky,

I thought that this doubt of mine had been resolved , since you had posted your conversation. I too had sent a query - not to LS2 but instead directly to SHARP. Imagine the shock I got when I received this just now! Attaching a screenshot of the mail I just received from SHARP in response to my mail.

According to SHARP themselves, they have not yet even tested the LS2 FF351 helmet, yet the company claims its rated 4 Stars even before the test? How is it possible? Should we believe the claims of the company or the testing agency which is apparently a branch of the UK Govt?

                          • LS2 Helmets

                            All,

I am looking for a LS2 helmet. However there seems to be some reviews stating LS2 helmets are not worth the price. I drive primarily in the city and need a good helment. I am currently using a SAFE brand. It is up for replacement and the LS2 was one brand I was considering.

Hence I wanted to know if I can put in Rs. 2000 + on a LS2 helmet that has conflicting reviews. Any help in this regard is appreciated.

You can use water, and Colin to an extent, but don't use *chemical* solvents as such, which may reduce with the visor's optical standards. But in general use lukewarm water and the soap you use is more than enough again, just apply the soap scarcely and clean it with running water from tap i.e so that the particles you clean are washed instead of staying in the visor assisting in more scratches.

This is gonna give a lot of people some sleepless nights. This goes to grassroot fundamentals of why, and how does this marketing gimmick happen. And I just can't imagine the repercussion of this photo. Real eye opener, Sunny.
