If anyone has used such a product can you please comment on ease of use, effectiveness and durability?
I had one and its lying after just single use.
Reason : Full face helmet , visor down and it becomes suffocating inside. Instead I have been using Noise Head Wraps

No helmet is out there is all-season type. A helmet must work on any season. The topic of fogging has been rising to new levels. Tell you what guys, no matter a proper pinlock is installed in the helmet VISOR no helmet is 100% fog proof, one way or the other a helmet will get fogged up, even the best out there. This is why helmets that come with PINLOCK are a boon especially in winter conditions and I can vouch for PINLOCK's efficiency.

Second what is PINLOCK?

PINLOCK is nothing but a transparent film that sticks on the inside of the visor basically air tight, so that no matter what the weather is, the helmet stays the same on the inside, unless you're a *fire breather*

Can I affix them on any helmets?

No you can't affix them on all helmets. VISORS that have PINLOCK affixation mechanism only will allow them.

Can I make a jugaad fix to my visor to accommodate the PINLOCK?

Hell no! You screw up your visor and worse shatter it into pieces.

here is the description on the company`s website

FULL FACE
AXOR is the perfect blend between technology and style. After creating a worldwide frenzy these helmets are finally available in India. They have a never before seen design and a never before felt comfort.

This Helmet is designed in the USA by Daytona Helmets And developed in Italy in Technical Collaboration with Compact Compositi. After creating a worldwide frenzy these Helmets are finally here in India.
Such Genius is now made available, exclusively by Vega.
This Helmet exceed international standards including DOT and ISI.
The rear of the helmet resembles more or less the MX helmet design, but, at 2000k I won't doubt much on the DOT spec as opposed to other creature comfort. So you can say yes, it *can* be DOT certified.

But who knows, considering the drama that went back with LS2's trustworthiness, it's can be more than what meets the eye. But unless a close thorough visual examination of it, it's really hard to come to a conclusion.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

i have had a close look at it and its feel is very much similar to the vega off road which is known as a plastic bucket,i would rate this helmet as one notch above the plastic bucket, hehe

Got this Black 3/4 Helmet and HD'ed it. Its a certified helmet though not a costly one. The exact same helmet saved my friend's son's life when he had a bad accident. His both arms got fractured and his head hit the pavement. The helmet got cracked but he had no head injury. My friend swears that this helmet saved his son's life. So I got the same model.

Like I told you before, Sir - Don't go by your HD mates. You really don't have to feel bad if you look different wearing a full-face expensive helmet amongst your rider mates use this for quick spins and gentle cruising but for serious distances, I would suggest a full face and a certified one. It might be a bit expensive (subjective to your definition) but again, If we small bike bikers can spend generously on gears, I am pretty sure you can.

Note: Sunnyside_up! Sir is an experienced rider & rides a HD. PM him asking about his helmet - you'll know what we all are talking about.

Sir, your friends son was lucky to have fallen sideways, than head on as thats the only way the half face, 3/4 face helmet would provide any kind of protection. They are only effective when you crash and fall sideways. Imagine a crash were you woukd probably slide on the tarmac, then what protection would it be able to provide. going by the example that it saved his life, so it should work for me too, all I have to ask is, is it really worth the gamble?

Finally with all due respect sir, if I ever had the money to afford a harley. I would rather smell the fresh air by stopping on the side during my rides, than end up smelling my own burned chin/jaw.

Guys, with no specific reference to anyone, I want to say that even a modular Studds helmet saved my life once, and let me tell you, my right arm was fractured in that accident itself. But again, it was a crash at 40-50 kmph. A Studds helmet won't save me (or you) all our life, as we move on to more powerful machines and higher average speeds.

Please keep these points in mind:

1. Liking a helmet would be more of an emotional opinion, rather than a rational one. And its definitely not wrong.
But, in that case, its better to keep it as a memory on a shelf than ride with it.
Specially so, if its not designed in compliance to the safety standards needed for the purpose. Modular helmet would be good enough for some 40-50 kmph commuting, with frontal lid closed. And beyond that, a well made full face should do.

2. Most manufacturers recommend that you replace a helmet after a crash, as the actual damage might not be visible externally. And its a fact. A slightly damaged helmet won't show a dent at all. Its not metal. In fact, it will appear flawless even if it isn't.

3. Science is Science. Even a half face ARAI won't be able to provide full protection, and that's a fact. Its not recommended to use a half face helmet anywhere, even in commuting. You jaw needs protection.
