You can have a look at the SOL 68S II metalman, blue silver, if you can stretch your budget to 5K. Looks good.

@sunnyside_up : Met your friend Rohit Padkar from Pune. He struck up a conversation just because I was wearing the metalman. Rides a N650 too. Has got an invitation for possible weekend rides which I am so looking forward to. How do you guys know each other?

One of the benefits of riding for 25 years are biker buddies in all parts of the country. I also happen to own an N650 too - 15K kms in 8 months. What do you ride?

      • I went to buy helmet and I am in confusion to buy which? LS2 or SOL?
I have 4000 but SOL costs 4800, but LS2 is 2500. I really like the SOL.But if I buy LS2, I can even buy the gloves. IS SOL really better than LS2?
I can get the 1000 from my dad,but that's the most i can get from him.
Im going to use the helmet for long rides mostly.

        • Best online site??

Please recommend a good site for purchasing SOL or LS2 helmets. I live in Bhopal and there ain't any good helmet dealers here so i'll have to buy online.

SOL site has no link for purchasing. Although PlanetDSG has Nuvo helmets but I'm not sure if Nuvo helmets have tinted visors. Kindly confirm the same. I'm soon to get a R15 V2 LE,plz suggest any other helmet otherwise.

To purchase a SOL Helmet online, you can send a mail to [email protected] . You can choose your helmet and get it delivered via courier to your doorstep. Many members here have ordered this way. Payment can be done via bank transfer.

Thanks for the help. I can't see their products as their site is not up yet. I've ordered a Nuvo one from PlanetDSG. Would like to know if they have tinted visors or not.

                • Do we get any online store to buy visor for LS2 helmets? A brand new tinted visor of mine which I was carrying as an extra visor fell on the road along with the luggage during my "touring attempt", severely scratching the visor!

                  • I got the SOL SL68-S helmet itself after deciding between LS2 and SOL. ITs really very tight, but still need to test it next week in long ride.

15k in 8 months is decent man.The "embarrassed" emoticon was out of place there surely.
I think you had a N250 before the 650? or you still ride it? I ride a duke.
The monsoons have stepped up a gear here, so I am not gonna target even your 'embarrassing' figure

Tight? Did you get the right size? If you're in Chennai, PM me, so that I can check your size. If it's too tight, I can help you get it exchanged.

                          - because I'm often accused by friends of being so unemployed that I only seem to be riding! I don't commute by the way - I drive to work. The 15k is clocked exclusively on weekends and out-of-towners.

                              Its very simple.

LS2 - Heavier, poor wind noise protection and more designs and cheaper. Better plastic quality.

SOL - They have cheaper models but not as cheap as LS2. Lesser designs but lighter, better vented and better wind noise protection. Better cheek pads, you honestly dont sweat.

                              Choose.

                              P.S. own both.
