The adhesive coat has between the helmet shell & the rubberized border is gone off. I wanted to apply Feviquik. But I thought it might compromise with the integrity & rigidity of my helmet shell. Hence thought of asking here.

Things in mind are:
1. Fevicol
2 Resin based gum used to bond furniture.

Please assist. Thanks in advance

you can use a superglue. but me being paranoid about safety, i would replace the helmet instead of fixing it. no compromises here.

I dun think this part of helmet will aide much into safety. This lid is very dear to me as someone special has gifted it to me. Also about replacing the lid. My ICON lid is already on the way from US of A

Hey guys I have the rubber packing border on my helmet base has come off in some portions of the helmet due to regular usage. Can anyone help me out/assist me in getting it fixed back??

Akshay is the issue with your Daijya? Yes even I've know some cases where the helmet rubber coming off. There is no sure shot solution. Because using rubber based solution will stick it temporarily, but when temperatures cool, the rubber based adhesives won't provide that much gluing power. It can easily be ripped. Using fevikwik is a good idea, but you need lot of them, and mind you, if it's a designer helmet, you might want to be careful, else it can easily ruin the design of the helmet itself.

But there is something called SUPERGLUE, not Fevicol, not Fevistick, it's superglue, very powerful, not used that though. If you can get your hands on them, then you're done with your helmet even if it's cracked in two halves.

But it's time for a new one! Waiting for the ICON and pics and review as always.

hey buddy can tell me the model number of your helmet is it ff384 espirit? does it has inflateble cheek pads?

Guys from Bhubaneswar, can anyone tell where to find Cross and Ls2 helmets here.
I tried at Kalpana square but they have only ls2 and that also starting from 4500/-, it exceeds my budget as my budget is max 3000/-
I even went at Rupali square, they had both (cross & ls2) but again out of my budget . I was looking for ls2 phobia which starts from around 2800/- but couldn't find it.
If anyone of you know some other reliable shop please suggest.

Bought the LS2 Evil Twin helmet last Saturday from Chopra's shop in Karol Bagh (Delhi)..


Mahalaxmi's shop had a very limited range - no LS2 or cross. Chopra's had atleast 10-12 designs in LS2, 5-6 in Cross, though he did not have any LS2 model with pump (in any case, I did not want to buy that model). I would have probably gone for Sol Helmets had they been available in/around Delhi but sadly no dealers here for that...

Can somebody tell me how to detach the visor - I could not find any info on Google. Also, since the inner liner is washable - do I just pull it out to remove it? Is it fixed using push-buttons or velcro - don't want to spoil/tear it therefore asking before trying...

to detach the visor, first open the visor to its full upmost position, then you will see a lever like thingy on both side, push it to upward position too and hold it there and the slowely pull the visor out, fixing it back is a *****, so be careful if you really need to remove it.
And yes, the liners are having push pull kinda buttons. But i havent removed it yet.

KBC Force RR Sheild Gear

I've been using a KBC Force RR Road Warrior Helmet for quite a long time,,, Unfortunately my Sheild gear got broken this 2nd time!! Previously I was able to manage from our City, But its not available so Can any one provide me, I'm ready to pay the charges!!! I wud be very grateful!!!

Was quoted Rs. 3000 and he was not ready to bargain - could only get Rs. 100 off as 'Xbhp discount' (disclaimer : I am not really good at bargaining )

Visor removal pretty much in any helmet is like a new duck taking to the water, but only when it is time to put it back it's a real pain in the arse. As, Krish mentioned, you can push the visor to the top most position, you might see a small two-way ratchet, and below that a small, lever, pull that lever and you will see the springs compress at which point the visor should free up. Add a little force to remove the visor, and it shall come out with no fuss. And same with the installation, just compress the springs (press the lever down) put the visor back, and press it slightly, fiddle with the ratchet so as to get the perfect fit and then press. You're all set.

Note: Never remove/push/pull without the ratchet in the visor placing firmly on the mechanism, else you end up chipping the visor ratchet system and you're in a LOSS MODE.

And the interior liners have a plastic press-stud button system, that comes out with a pull and sits back inside with a "tuck" sound. That shouldn't be problem. My helmet has a velcro for the inner head pad in the front of the helmet and only buttons on the cheek pads, which should be the case with your helmet too.

My reply may see a tad complicated, but it's easy once you remove your helmet and see it all yourself.
