  • Hello guys
    I'm looking for a helmet
    Budget 4k-8k

    I'm using LS2 crown
It seems ok ok as wind noise builds up at 80-90km/hr itself and the intake vents are kind of bad

    and i have spectacles too
so it should be easy to wear them after putting the helmet

So Looking for something good and worth the upgrade

    Thanks in advance

Check out the sparx range.Wind noise is present there too, i guess its there in all heets with varying intensities depending upon number of vents.Sol sf1 is also a good helmet which will cost you around 6k.At 7,5k you also get hjc.You have many options in your budget, go to a good helmet shop, try all, and buy theone which fits snugly and whose liner feels most comfortable.

I personally liked the sol helmets
            But want something premium
How is Airoh ? Pit one XR series Helmets ?

And in my city there are not much options as we have only a Vega dealer that's it
So I have to purchase it online itself

But i do find the Vega Motocross helmet very comfy. (Though it does not provide that good protection)
Yes wind noise is reduced and the ventilation is good too, but..
One of the main reason is the "Cap" or the shade it provides (dunno what to call it) .
Really protects me from the sun and provides good shade, especially now, that Bangalore is so hot !
I have got used to "this" helmet.
I tried something else without the "cap" and i wasn't comfortable at all, with the sun hitting my eyes !

Even if you have a very good visor with tinted glass, there will still be a bright "dot" of light hitting your eyes, which I find irritating..

I would actually prefer a helmet like a LS2 build with a "cap".
Im too an Offroad helmet lover here.
An imported Ls2 offroad will be Best in protection.
This one is Awesome & offers great protection.

Well, we ain't haters of off road helmets. We think the so called off road styled helmets that we get here do not provide enough protection. Also if such a helmet will provide good snug fit and protection I'll be more than happy to buy one.

                  Also I hate the posers.

In Kerala too we have extreme temps and I find the inner visor of my helmet provide much needed shield from sun rays. Mine is a ffull face normal helmet.

True words. We discourage using cheap knickoff stuff when suitable replacement are available.
If one can get the genuine ones uts fine , though it still is inappropriate for road use.

                    Cheers.

At that range, why not go for SOL. SOL does come in the range of 3 to 20K. Else I would suggest you go for AIROH Speedfire series.

There is absolutely no haters regarding the helmet from any side. Tthere is definitely an intended purpose for its use, and it's when it's intertwined with what's out there that is when the problem starts. All we can is advice people is to refrain from knowing the difference from a street and off road helmet. Yes it looks cool, yes it's a "bucket" yes it's cheap and yes it's airy and that's about it.

If you go back this thread, people have posted photos of crash which involved a dirt helmet.

Everyone's idea differs, and everyone's comfort zone depends on what one really likes etc. So it's completely upto to ones own discretion.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Others have already clarified that nobody hates any particular type. The objections are to helmets that are just plain silly. A motocross helmet's peak will provide shade but on the flip side will jerk your head backwards at higher speed as it catches air. Also proper MX helmets do not come with a visor to protect your eyes.

Why not try a Dual Sport and have the best of both worlds? Here is one - Spartan ProGear | Product

I believe even LS2 has one.

Reflective and clear both are priced equally. Vary from 600 to 750. Try your luck with bargaining

LS2 visor are kinda cat on the wall, some places they are sold for 450~ and some upwards for 600. As the above member mentioned, your bargaining tactic should lend you a hand here.
