i think a small screw kinda thing is missing thr..had a similar problem..I got my Studds Ninja fixed from a road side helmet/number plate shop...Originally posted by Dosuos View PostHi everyone,
I went to the shop from where I bought this helmet but they said they don't repair helmets.
I don't think I can fix it myself (see pic) . Is this repairable or do I have to get a new one?

Well, I took it to a shop (Sector 9, Noida). The mechanic there said it can't be fixed. He told me to go to Karol Bagh [in Delhi] - Chopra Helmets to get it repaired. According to him, its an authorized shop for STUDDS helmets.
Guess, I will be going there this weekend. Not feasible during weekdays as I commute daily from Gurgaon to Noida
Anyone from NCR heard of this shop?
Thanks for your input Tron. Guess, I might opt for your wayOriginally posted by Tron05 View Posti think a small screw kinda thing is missing thr..had a similar problem..I got my Studds Ninja fixed from a road side helmet/number plate shop...

Whoah....2.2K for this Chinese helmet...don't mind haan Sam but i feel its very expensive considering it to be a chinese make....and secondly you bargained it from 4.5K to 2.2K...!! So, out of this you can only make out that if that shopkeeper gave you 50%+ discount then its actual price would not be more that 1-1.5K..!! Also dont know whether its really DOT certified..!??Originally posted by sam92 View Postwell my budget was 2k .. i saw a GP for 1.7 [it was little old and heavy and didnt have good graphics]

Well, this is what i feel...in the end you are to wear it..!!
Hope you understand what i mean rather than shouting on me...

Before heading to anywhere in Delhi, check the shops opposite IOC pump(Dolly Motors). The pump is located on the 12/22- DND road and close to Noida Stadium.Originally posted by Dosuos View PostWell, I took it to a shop (Sector 9, Noida). The mechanic there said it can't be fixed. PM me for detailed directions.
Edit:- Sec-9 is not the market for helmets.

Hey Bangaloreans,
Any recommended shops around JC Rd/Lalbaugh/MTR which have ben tried and tested ? I might go there tomorrow and will pick up something simple and sturdy. Liked a Vega with graphics, I liked one the last time I went there, but he didnt have any fresh ones in stock.
Thanks,

Don't know much .. and can't vouch for anyone ..Originally posted by beowulf View PostHey Bangaloreans,

but when I went to Lalbagh road to pick Vega Boolean .. I found out that Balaji Helmet Palace was more co-operative, flexible at price and had more options then Helmet Paradise just opposite to it. For example: M size vega boolean was a bit tight for me and Helmet Paradise guy said that company just makes M as a std size and I got L size in Balaji just opposite to them.
But I am not sure about the after sale service or such things about Balaji too .. so for prices and range at least check as many as possible shops.

Update:
Picked up a sturdy looking Vega with graphics from Helmet Paradise (opp Urvashi theater, bangalore). He had good variety (GPR, AGV, crash etc) and the prices were exactly same as the shop opp it, Ryders point or something. Interesting thing was, he said that the inner fabric can be replaced completely for 180/- same material and fit, I would just need to take the helmet there...hmmm, dunno abt this but was good to know
He initially quoted 1385 but settled on 1050 and did NOT take my old one in exchange.
Also gave couple of skull caps, keychain and fixed the visor on my old one. I guess, I could've bargained a bit more say 50-100.
Fit is excellent, rode for 45mins-1hr on the way back and no headaches, very light on the head, lets see in a months time
So ppl going to these places, make sure you bargain for ATLEAST 25-30% less than their quoted prices (10% they give without even asking)
Picked a pair of very very basic gloves from the shop opp for 220 (other places might be a bit lower -I would just be using these once a month or even less)
HTH,
