Couldn't agree more about those locks. Any way how about the lock like above. The traditional ones also doesn't give me too much satisfaction. Any other alternatives?

are the following terminologies applicable to both clean & smoked visors ??
Most modern helmet visors are made of polycarbonate, which is prone to scratches and surface damage. Earlier, cheaper helmets used plain acrylic sheet which was fitted to a curved guide, which kept the acrylic in a curved shape. Modern Polycarbonate visors are thermoformed directly into the shape required and hence do not require a guide/frame to fix the visor. However, thermoforming a visor into a complex curve normally results in distortions in the transparency. Optically corrected visors are specially thermoformed visors that do not have distortions and are very clear optically. This process is expensive and very few companies have the resources and expertise to produce them.

I am not sure if anybody claims scratch - proof, since it is nearly impossible to make a polycarbonate helmet visor scratch proof. It is however possible
to harden the polycarbonate (PC) visor surface with a certain coating which makes it harder to scratch - not impossible. These are called scratch-resistant coating. The latest helmet visors also have a UV protection coating, which protects the rider's face from sunburn in extreme sun.

Carry your helmet along (tie the helmet strap around your elbow). If you dont want the "Curios ones" checking your helmet and you end up with scratches on your Visor (Bang has plenty of em)!

              P.S :
Great deal you got for your LS2 man! I got mine for 2800/- (after bargaining) price quoted was 3250/-. (dont remember the name of the shop at JC Road, though Balaji quoted 3.3k for it !)
One of my "noobad" friend bought a Phobia for 4000/- , says he's not comfortable with bargaining. And i was like, Dude !!! 4K ??!!

Very true,, Bangalore crowd is really inquisitive. I'd prefer carrying my helmet around rather than getting unwanted scratches

I got my LS2 'Lunatic Fringe' for 2400/- INR form Adeshwar. Price seems to have gone up.....

PS/Sad Part - Now that Sunny Sir has pointed out the fraudulent character of Adeshwar, I feel really bad to have bought from him No wonder, I did not see any SOL there. Helmet Paradise always sounded fraud. The Balaji guy behaved as if he is running a school/college, @#$*
