You should try meandering India (::.MEANDERING INDIA.::) . They have good range of helmets like SOL / Dajiya / Nuvo. They are located in Vasant Kunj so it will help. Or else you can try contacting Speedking in Karol Bagh for LS2 models. In your budget you can get more options and if i am guessing their carbon-fibre series is in the range of 10k, not sure though.

The Indian Vega helmets just released DOT certified helmets.says padding is improved.hope it is.I have a spare Vega dualsport(its cool looking no matter what!) helmet that has its posterior padding surface crumbling.this on storing it in a cool, moisture free cupboard.I don't even use it much.don't need to talk about my bro's vega helmet padding which is used constantly.

The design is obviously a rip off but then ls2 helmets don't carry warranties unlike Sol or Vega here.

I would like to add one more thing.. Most of us wear a helmet, but do we always close the strap ? no matter how good a helmet is, if it won't stay on the head (in case of any mishap) then its the same as not wearing one..

I dont think this happend because of the accident . Look how clean the cut is (cut edges are perfect )and rest of the helmet is perfect with few scratches. Looks like it has been cut wit a saw or something. Just an opinion

exactly.. RVM's are more important than their own heads.. sad to see such ignorance

Buddy, 1 AM - 3 AM, especially weekends ... I guess in all cities these unsafe riders descend on the streets. No gear, even no helmets, but racing away. Add to the mix some alcohol, and some late night partying people returning in cars, some trucks and dumpers speeding on the night roads, no fear of loopholed law and low fines ... all the ingredients are there for a recipe of disaster..
everybody loves to race ones in a while.. but alcohol.. messing with the police.. this just isn't right..

maybe.. but it might have brushed hard with the bus or like that.. whatever might be the reason, a pic like this does scare us and make us remember to ALWAYS wear helmet.. no matter how short the ride..

Can anyone please suggest a good helmet for around 2.5 to 3k.
Also any good shop in Thane or Mumbai.

                          Many thanks

For 2.5k there aren't any good helmets as such, but you can get decent ones in the form Studds RHYNO and Scopion Cross and LS2 and Vega. But I'd suggest you to look at the Scorpion from Studds and then the LS2.

For LED helmets, there is no helmets in India at least apart from SOL, you can try SOL SL68S or the SF1

You can look for good helmets such as HJC, KBC, SparX and LS2 and SOL.

Try performanceracingstore.net for the first three and www.spartanprogear.com for the third.

Ignorance towards riding gears is high in the youth like us.

In case of helmets, they think their style takes a dip or hairstyle gets unset. I dunno why..

There's this friend of mine who has recently (3-4 months back) bought a RE Bullet C350 and wears a cheap, strapless, visorless, non ISI marked old 'ROTOMAC' Helmet.... That too when Police is around, otherwise the helmet goes on the RVM....When I ask him to buy a helmet, he replies

"Bhai tu Darpok hai, Kuch nahi hota. Tu hi karle makeup, mard nahi karte"

                            LOL.

                            That's poor thinking!!

I don't understand Hindi, (cracker you see). But I honestly do want these people come to forums like these, rather than same old people asking the same questions again and again and again. If it's awareness it must reach out to these people so that they spread the word. And I trust it reaches to every single biker out there.
