Used to cost a princely Rs.500/- in those days and I had to go all the way to JC road in Bangalore to buy it since Chennai did not have any good stores or choice.
    Couldn't agree more..

Whoa, Sunny Sir ,, that true?? - coming all the way from Chennai to JC road Bangalore must have been quite the task those days

I have a lid that came to me at 3.5 k two years back, and I have been carrying it everywhere ........... even when I'm meeting GM of a reputed firm in his office (except in movie multiplex, as they do not allow carrying anything inside, and then I have to leave it to the parking guy with an added tip over his service charge ). Recently I was thinking to make a purchase of a cable lock to seek more comfort but then "Sunny Sir and his peculiar examples" ( :immense respect: ) made me continue in the same way as I had been doing .

In case you are worried about it being stolen, then my suggestion is to buy one without any graphic design as it will attract pretty less attention and may serve you the same humble comfort . After all it is the only "crown" that you can afford to wear in the modern world to speak your style statement .

LOL! Yep - The Vega Formula HP - amazingly, its still being sold!

Had it first in a Black/Silver/Red combination and then an All Black after a few years. Considering the cost ( Rs500/- was a lot in those days) and the pain of going all the way to Bangalore to buy it, it was a prized possession and I carried around with me everywhere!

Since it did not have a removable lining (I don't think it has even now ), it required the use of a bandanna to keep it relatively clean inside, and since visors were equally hard to come by, the visor was treated like fragile glass! Looking after such prized possessions with care taught us to look after our gear properly and I guess the lessons learned then are still followed today.

I second this thought. Always stick with a full face helmet no matter how much you sweat. And me i always wear the monkey cap (one one used in winters) under the helmet while riding a bike in order to avoid dust. no matter what season it is. This is to avoid the dust since i do not have a balaclava. But now will have to get one.Even if i want to ride without the monkey cap i cannot do it now because after riding in this fashion for more than 3 yrs the padding have resized themselves. I will also be getting a new helmet. how to check for helmet size if i want to order online.

yup, i remember a guy who used to wear a half face helmet, and when he fell his chin was at the receiving end.
dont buy online. helmet sizes vary in different companies. if any of your friends have the same companies helmet, then try that, if it fits then order the helmet from that company if needed.

I just love this graphic hence my heart has been on this helmet since the begining of my classes on Helmets

But since after reading so much suggestions on the drawbacks of buying online i wanted to know if there is any authorized SOL dealer in New Delhi otherwise please suggest an authorized dealer for LS2. I had spoken to someone in Karol Bagh last year who sold LS2 helmets but i do not know if that guy was an authorized dealer or not. I do not remember his name now.

Also can anyone tell me the approx prices of the following LS2 helmet models?

              FF384 II
              FF 358
FF 351 - i gues this one sells in the 3k range. Right ?

and guess the FF396 CR1 and FF396 FT2 are the premium models.

that depends on the purchase you are making (remember buy a product on VAT Bill)

if you are going for a LS2, then knock first at the Chopra Auto, Karol Bagh

if you are thinking of a SOL, try Meandering India (details are there in the recent prev post)
