I had sent a query to SPG for SOL helmets almost a week back using the form on their website but havent heard back from them yet. Do they respond to the queries they get on their websites or do i need to call them or something?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Helmets
Nothing pressing, I just wanted to buy a helmet from them but there is no way to buy it online, just a form that tells me to input my email and phone number. So should i wait for them to call me or email me with the further details or should i call them?Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostIt depends if it's really "pressing" you can call them directly
Anyone who purchased from them online could throw some light on it?

Re: Helmets
Perhaps Sunnyside_up! can chime in, but I don't think anyone has bought directly from their website, the website doesn't support an online sale gateway but can be done via contacting them directly so they can help you out in this regard. Most chaps call them up or visit their store!Originally posted by ayu135 View PostNothing pressing, I just wanted to buy a helmet from them but there is no way to buy it online, just a form that tells me to input my email and phone number. Re: Helmets
I have a query (may be noob !!) ............. I have seen Sunny bhaiya in pics from Japan Trip, Australia trip etc with a modular helmet on a powerful machine like Ducati Multistrada ......... how does he justify his choice ?Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostModular helmet would be good enough for some 40-50 kmph commuting, with frontal lid closed. And beyond that, a well made full face should do.
Airoh (available through Bachoo Motors) will suit you the most as far as light weight is considered ........... but then I have a query for you ........... did you try a search across this thread (before putting up your query) to avail an instant reply from the past posts and discussions ?Originally posted by vvk1987 View PostPlease suggest me a good helmet with following criteria:

Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

Re: Helmets
the inner crust of helmet, ie after detachable pad seems poor in eyes. have not seen SOL helmet, so asking members here...visor gets scratched easily..the website says its anti scratch...

Re: Helmets
come on yar. but it already got on front face. on day one? should be genuine. its a VAT bill after all. isnt? who doesnt fear legal suit.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostAnti Scratch doesnt mean that it will never get any scratches
BTW im confused with my head size. the one bought by him is M size. my head size when measured simply with a tape is 52-53 cms. so the SOL website says XXS for 52 cms. according to them S wont fit me. but after trying M size i guess S can fit easily.
Another important thing, what about ISI mark on helmet? cops here are putting fine for non ISI helmets? SOL is global brand, should it not carry ISI mark for india?I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.

Re: Helmets
Neck pain is always subject to debate and it differs individual to individual. And considering a lightweight, (feather weight which I personally feel) you can try the AIROH series, very light weight helmets coupled with excellent visor. But cost proposition is relatively a bong in the pocket considering its heritage, that's one.Originally posted by vvk1987 View PostPlease suggest me a good helmet with following criteria:

But coming close is SOL good light weight helmets to start with especially the SF1 and 68SII good helmet at about 5k range.
No visor is scratch proof, prolonged usage will inevitably produce some scratches no matter, but what's to keep in mind is the intensity and the area of scratch. Scratches on the front of the visor will scatter light no matter what you do and it's far worse when it rains. But minute scratches do appear in the visor, which shouldn't be of any problem as such. But anything that hampers vision must be considered for a replacement.
Excellent Touseef. It indeed is a an excellent VFM helmet that's why I keep suggesting this to many newbies who are budget constrained.Originally posted by Touseef Ahmed Mohammed View PostBought Studds Scorpion D-3 Matte white.

Here are some of Its snaps. Trust me, This Studds helmet has amazing Quality. Frankly speaking, this one is 100% vfm helmet if one opts to buy a good quality helmet without spending much.
Bought it for Rs.2000/-
Small correction. It's a Taiwanese company not a Korean company, of course the dialect might have contributed to the confusion, but it's a Taiwanese company rebranded and sold as GMAX in the US of A.
The company that owns the brand is the company called Anyng Enterprises.
