And for most brands, paddings are inter-changeable between the closest sizes but since you do not have the liberty to get that done and try, I would suggest you to refer to the size chart of SPG on the same. Apparently XL looks really big and it is recommended to go for a snug fit, so contact them and clarify on this and go for the SOL.

Re: Helmets
In that price bracket, consider SOL & Sparx and you will not regret. And how is it that GHY doesn't have stores selling LS2 while Dibrugarh (D.A.R.U.) guys are flashing all around with funky LS2s.Originally posted by red_karizma_zmr View Post

Well, got a shop here in front of China town, rajgarh road selling LS2. Few more shops in G.S road do stock.
And for other brands, I guess its better to forget getting here in guwahati!

Re: Helmets
Once fcuked forever fcucked, I always say.Originally posted by TranquilRageWas walking in a narrow lane between two walls carrying my helmet when unfortunately my helmet had a scrape with the rugged wall. It's got a short, but deep scratch on the visor, right in the center. Any home-fixes that can reduce the severity of the scratch?
But scratches that appear in the peripheral vision area of the visor must be considered for a replacement especially if it's deep. Never use any solvents or wax to cover up a scratch. Mind you this is not a metal or wood work where you can add wax, polish wipe and it shines dry, and considering the fact that it's not even glass it's a polycarbonate material plastic, so any solvents are going to affect the visor negatively and can literally melt and render the visor useless.
Never use wax, solvents as such. The best is use water for the time being to clean the visor with a soft lint free cloth if vision is hampered. And scratches are the prime reason for glare and light scattering at night which is far worse and I've been through that. Plus dogging on the primary vision with scratched visor will only tire your eyes, I can go on. But..
Consider replacing your visor and you'll eyes will thank you for that.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Shops of AT Road only stocks the local motocross styled helmets at max.
You can check those in Ganeshguri and near Bharalu end of AT Road where few bike modification shops are present. Some may stock LS2 but the price would be exorbitant. Better check the shop in front of China Town. Had been once to get a quote (timepass, to see how much they are charging!) and its pretty same as in Bangalore.
I ride under Assam Bikers, will PM the link.

Re: Helmets
If you looking at any HJC helmet above CL16 series they are lighter than Sparx, KBC, Airoh street series..Originally posted by chaosaddict View PostKiller Lid, mate! I have been having wet dreams of owning Demonatrix for quite some time now, if you know what I mean!!

Me too love HJC lids right now saving for Green Mamba replica which will come in market soon...

Re: Helmets
bought a sparx s07 pow.from the vendor at edapally,cochin.4.9k.not much in discounts.no freebies no nothing.not even a balaclava,pathetic.sales staff uninterested.they are unaware about warranty given by spg for helmets and apparels and even different colour options or features.much less the owner who was busy it seems.a take it or leave it attitude.compared to this the experience at autoqueens while shopping for helmets was much better.anyway the helmet was an impulsive/emergency buy.
the helmet.
1.build quality+++.
better than equivalent priced sol models.paint feels great.the pictures do not do the piece justice owing to my poor photographic skills coupled with a four year old galaxy s.
2.wind noise+.
becomes apparent even at 60kph.ya,supplied earplugs will solve this but still at this price.
3.fit++++.
snug and right.not suffocating.cannot comment about ventilation yet.no fogging issues as of now.not much in ports;just the two in front.
4.no idea where to put the stickers that came with the helmet.
5.those vents/ports in the visor might be trouble come rains.
6.at this price range i definitely recommend this.wanted the plain sol ss1 but was out of budget+uninterested shopkeeper.everything including this helmet is made in china too.
can we use wax for the lid part.or any suggested items to keeps the helmet shiny like new?surely there must be something for protecting the paint.seems the shopkeepers used to for keeping the helmets shiny(not the visor)
