A friend is using it , looks wise its ok, padding is also good. But dont know how well it would be under impact. As the originality is still not sure.

Thanks. Yes, originality is an issue considering I have been sold a duplicate LS2 in the past. The padding started wearing off in a month for that helmet. Even visors for the same model would not fit.
Am sticking to Studds for now.
Any suggestions in how to check helmet originality?

Bought a new helmet yesterday after 5yrs. It's a Studds Shifter gloss black model without decor.
Build quality is typical Studds and the padding is great as usual.
Features: Anti scratch visor, openable and closable front vents, fixed rear vent, breath deflector (anti fog), removable, washable and replaceable inner liners. Quick screwless visor replacement mechanism. Quick release chin strap.
Also has an inner visor with no separate lever like in Vega Boolean.
Product page link: Studds Accessories Ltd.
My recommendation: A good budget touring helmet at Rs. 2010.

I've bought a Airoh JT which is a half face helmet that my sister uses... It's a small size (also available in a XS if you want) and it fits comfortably in the underseat storage of a TVS Wego... Brilliant helmet, made in Italy, ECE approved, and very light and safe...
But it's costs about ₹7000... What's ur budget?

"Lower the better" can mean diff to diff people na, so provide a price range, and the xbhp community can provide you with suggestions... Also, the less you pay, usually the lower quality helmet. If you take a ECE or DOT approved helmet, cost diff will just add features like ventilation and aero etc... As for ISI, it's the Indian regulatory mark, but the ECE is European and DOT is American, which are both much much better than ISI... Don't worry about trouble from cops, they do not object since its a better quality than ISI...

I've never been to the place, but I know for a fact that KBC and SPARX helmets start at ₹7-8k... I strongly doubt they are originals if he's selling them that cheap

The Mt helmets range axxis comes in the ₹4000 range revenge series 4000-5000 and blade series 5000-6000 I've got myself the axxis limited evo helmet 😊 im totally happy with it (my first helmet) and I wear it everytime I go riding and its saved me from police 6-8 times 😉 Mt helmets have good quality .the axxis and revenge series are based on racing gear style with d straps blade series are crafted for the average tourer .I picked mine from d j helmets Kochi 😊. Always ask for warranty and bill receipt.

@deepakshankar @ If you are getting KBC and Sparx in that range, high chance that they would be fake/defected

@KID MONK : Is the helmet only to save you from police? Btw can you explain what is racing gear style and who is an average tourer?

I agree with you... Please don't tell us you wear the helmet to "save you from police" kidMONK... A helmet is to save you in case of an accident, and to enable you to go home to ur family in one piece; NOT to save you from a ₹100 fine...

I think what meant by "racing gear style", is that it's more aero dynamic, and suitable for a more crouched position for ventilation... And the tourer is for upright riding position... I say this cause I'm aware of the two helmets he speaks of...
But yea, what qualifies as average tourer?

• To save from police -it was just my personal experience;I bought my helmet the next day after I passed my driver's test and I used it when on my scooter and i did not possess my permanent drivers license and the police were conducting a check-up and when they saw me coming on my scooter they didnt bother to stop me nor another person on his scooter:he was wearing a "plastic bucket" that looked 5-7 years old

The blade series are meant for people with a more round head and also it serves its purpose of commuting and isn't allowed on track because of the ratchet lock

The blade series isnt for people with speed in mind (my opinion) and for around the same price you get the revenge series 5* sharp rating

I bought a helmet (costing ₹4100) not fearing the police mind you but only because of fear of accidents.if I feared police then I myself would have just went for a ₹400 plastic bucket with duplicate ISI mark .i don't like the way police in Kerala stop riders and drivers unnecessarily for no reason at all and pester them even though they possess all necessary documents .😒 not offence 😞
