xTorque in HSR layout, sector 1
Megha will have SOL, you can try the same as it's almost in the same range. Apart from that, the newer lots of LS2's are in that range. Slight increase in budget and you can get hold of a HJC. Cheaper ones available are THH & Kranos (in Moto101).BENEATH THE REMAINS.........

Thanks. HJC would be better than MT? HJC CL 17 worth it( i can extend if its worth it and not because of brand name)?

Re: Helmets
I feel it's definitely worth. I would suggest you to try all the options back to back; this will immensely help you in deciding. Certain positive aspects that differentiate the HJC lid from MT & SOL are - lightweight, snug & better paddings. This opinion is based on my observation, and of course it is subject to change. Therefore, try'em on and conclude.Originally posted by chetan6686 View PostThanks. HJC would be better than MT? HJC CL 17 worth it( i can extend if its worth it and not because of brand name)?
Moto101 will have MT & HJC so you can easily compare them. In fact, I have tried both back to back many times in Chennai Moto101 & in xTorque, HSR - & HJC was overwhelmingly impressive in all occasions. I wish I had the budget to get one though.
That's about it, rest is up to your experiments on practicality. In any case, make sure that you 'try before you buy'.
All the best.BENEATH THE REMAINS.........

In the video at 1.43, the person shows up these speakers attached to an MT helmet after removing the liners at the side. So for the velcro to sit, it needs a flat surface. I removed the liner of the Scorpion in the same manner as shown in the video and I do not see a space like that to stick the speakers on.
See for yourself.
Am I correct in my conclusion?
P.S. - Taking off the Scorpion's liners and putting them back on is quite tedious!

Re: Helmets
Well, it was used maybe for a few times. My friend wanted an open face helmet. So he asked me if this could be sold off. And I placed an ad.Originally posted by Kos View Postpeople actually buy used helmets? :O
He received a lot of calls.
People do buy used helmets, then.

Yet Another Helmet Thread
I have a question which has dogged me for some time now.
how are the imported brands of helmets (LS2, MT, etc etc) which cost around double of indian good quality brands, (Vega, Studds, etc) better than the indian brands, to justify the 100 percent markup? even Vega has models which are DOT certified so that would make them good enough to save our coconuts in the event of a crash, right?
i ask because i currently own an ageing Vega Boolean(4 yrs old) , perfectly good otherwise, but the sponge has thinned down, causing it to shift at higher speeds.
i am looking for a replacement, but reading through the many many threads and posts has left me confused.
the Boolean introduced me to amenities like internal sun visor, and a movable chin guard, things that i would like to hang on to, when i go in for the next helmet. the only con is the weight, but i guess i am now quite used to it.
pointers anyone?
