Re: Helmets
During my recent crash, my Ls2 FF384 had taken a minor impact below the visor in the front and another impact at the back of the helmet, so I decided not to take a chance and get myself a new helmet
I went to Megha enterprises in bangalore yesterday to buy the MT axxis and found that they did not have the color which I wanted. Then he showed me the MT blade super R and i was pleasantly surprised to know that it had the pin-lock ready visor.
The helmets I considered were MT blade, MT axxis, Sol metal man, Sol unicorn and Kranos:
-The kranos actually has good build quality but I did not go for it as it misses out on a chin curtain.
-I felt the inner padding of the mt helmets were of better quality and finish that the sol helmets, hence I dropped sol helmets from the list.
-Now I had to decide between spending 4.5k on the mt axxis and close to 6k for the mt blade.
-The mt blade comes with a internal sun-visor so there is no need for a separate tinted visor. Whereas the MT axxis does not have the internal sun-visor and I would have had to purchase a separate tinted visor which was 700-800 odd bucks if I heard the price right.
-Also the mt blade has built-in earphone pockets which is missing in the mt axxis.
So all these poiints made me go for the mt blade super R over the axxis, a few pics of my helmet:

Re: Helmets
Try studds shifter. I bought one for 1850. It is pretty comfortable on long rides. Only problem is you have to get used to removing the helmet properly without squeezing your earsOriginally posted by Motofarer View PostCan anyone suggest me a decent lid within Rs. 2500.00?

Re: Helmets
I rode around with a Studds Scorpion for almost 4 years now. It has been a good companion on all my long rides.
But it was never my size ... it was two sizes bigger. And yes I bought it that way as I was naive and only cared about the design.
It did serve its purpose well. But the incessant nag to get a helmet of my size was ... getting irritating to be honest.
Bike O Pedia, Hyderbad had MTs in stock and was very close to my home and work. They are also official Spartan Dist for Hyd.
The visit was for one very special helmet ... Kranos Imola Born2Win. It is ECE R.22.05 and DOT Dual homologated and weights in at 1350-1450.
Rode for 30 kms yesterday. Size M fit me perfect. Noise isolation was good, Windhowl was minimum ... on an FZ16, so not driving over 100. The vents work very well in keeping me from not boiling inside. The only concern is ... I'm not a big fan of D-rings. Too much hassle. Wish there was a way to change that.
Let the pictures speak for themselves on the design front.
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.
