I use specs as well. The frame i use has gone completely out of whack. I used a lazer bayamo. They are pretty snug and its good as protection, but, awful for the specs. I use a rayban with hoya lens. Not that it matters, just saying. Its not a good combo. Specs a d a snug helmet, ie. Just my 2 cents.

Off topic.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostI too wear specs and trust me with my helmet or rather any helmet I never found any issue. I ride with chrome visor.
MTs are good , rather VFM, as written, they should be snug and not like compressing your head, they are bound to be tight near cheek area.
PS: Lasik is costly now. one hospital quoted me 50k, in that I can buy couple ray ban and crizal glasses
PPS : Love potato, but dont be a potato
I did my laser for 28k in vasan eye care in 2013. They quoted an higher price and then said they have an offer this week [emoji23][emoji23]
My friend recently did it. ~50k I guess.

Optimus model is discontinued and no longer imported by Spartan Pro Gear. Their facebook page says they'll be launching another model of flip-up helmet this month so you may wait to check that out.Originally posted by praSAN View PostWhere i can find MT Optimus flip helmet. wanna buy one . i want to try it before buy it, so any shops in Mumbai to try before buy ?

Full face helmet = best protection, all weather, all sport.
Off road helmet = off road only
Modular helmet & half face helmet =
Only for slow commuting to office. Not safe.
i ride bike in all weather conditions and in all types of road .Last edited by Arpit Shrivastava; 05-10-2016, 03:48 AM.

Re: Helmets
Hello Guys,
I want to buy a helmet, just commuting 30K everyday on TVS victor/sport or may be CT100B, gonna buy one of these in few days. There is no off-road/racing/weekend-rides, may be highway 5% of the time. Strictly commuting based rides in Hyderabad. So far I learned 4 points after reading 50 pages of this thread:- Always buy Full-Face Helmet
- Buy Quality helmet (some examples are MT, SOL, KYT, Sparx, Kranos, Studds), after all head is yours to risk.
- Buy reflective/bright helmets because they bring more safety (e.g Kranos Frog)
- Always check the size offline before buying online.
I got 2 questions:
- My budget is 2K at max and I see only choice is Studds, Studds you get from 800 to 2200/- . Else I can extend budget and buy Kranos at 3750/- from spartaprogrear online. What you say ? 2nd, What are all those Vega and other cheaper helmets they are selling at majority of shops here in Hyderabad and at Flipkart etc. (around 1k, Armex, Dass, Steelbird, Speedking etc).
- Does anyone know shops in Hyderabad where you get good quality brands mentioned here often and where they don't charge exorbitant prices too ?
Thanks

Re: Helmets
1) Well the built quality of studds is really good and in that price range you can get their top model shifter.Originally posted by arnuld View PostHello Guys,

Instead of buying a Kronos for 3750 get the shifter and buy a gloves , extra bit of protection is always worth it.
(I survived 2 good 😂 accidents with the studds )
2) i don't really know the best shop but here a link to all of them .

You are wrong, the peak in front hinders in the visibilityOriginally posted by Arpit Shrivastava View Posti am considering motocross helmet as i feel, they have high angle visibility,
More vents also means, more dirt, more weather porne, and if the vents are large enough, more insects too. Vents are there to provide inlet and outlet to keep the head dry and imo all the other full face helmets does the job perfectly good.Originally posted by Arpit Shrivastava View Postmore number of vents ,sun shade and sun screen

Anything have you shortlisted? I too was in a similar fashion instead of modular helmets.Originally posted by Arpit Shrivastava View Posti am preferring motocross helmet because of sunshade only.
More over I think they offer a little more space around nose and chin.
