No.. the Vega Axxor helmets are not at all of good quality. My brother had brought one from the vega site last year for 1600, somehow it was over 70-75% off at that time.
The padding has worn out. The plastic creeks a lot and the wind noise is too much. Even the coating has come off. My Studds Shifter helmet has way better built quality than this.
If somehas brought the helmet, use it and you will soon agree with the notion that this Vega Helmet is not worth the said price.
    Here are some pics.

The padding NEVER stays in its place.
P.S. This is the condition of the helmet in less than a year if normal/less use. No long tours, no abuse of whatsoever. Even my current and previous 1500-1800 range Studds and Steelbird helmets are of better quality.

Have you seen the differences between the different models?
Apparently you have problem comprehending the reply. So if showroom sells Maruti alto for 3lacs and just one dealer sells it for 5lacs, just because you bought it from a dealer doesnt mean that Alto is actually for 5lacs.
And yes I have visited Vega dealer and I know what I am saying, Axor was never sold at 5k,

Only if you would have searched little more about online helmet duping , but its ok, people do things as per "convenience".

Nowhere on Vega site the prices have been mentioned, so how can you conclude that the price you paid is the correct price.

Stop justifying your buying, if only you would do a little more research and then posted, we could have understood, but its ok, it happens when someone buys a thing and wants to justify the price they paid. Hope you get the truth soon.

I doubt that it is available. Anyone from Kol of your known ones can ask at BP Roadies

@P3T3R Hey buddy, calm down a bit. Because, you won't be able to absorb new information if you're not ready for it, or you're flared up on others who try to point you out.

We have rules on the forum. Kindly avoid calling out names, and creating a hostile environment. And use the Report system to report posts where you feel cornered.

                  Now, for some facts...

Your posted Vega link is not working as clicking on helmets redirects to: VEGA AUTO ACCESSORIES Pvt. Ltd.

Anyhow, the common Vega Axor helmet is here for some years now, and has a street price of around Rs. 2500 or so. Mostly all of us know that. There have been deals around 2000/- too.
There are so many products with difference between street prices and MRPs. No big deal at all.

But as you say its a senior model, do you think it shouldn't be on official Axor website (forget Vega one)... Check out for yourself:- AXOR-A008

You will see in the above link, that there are no "Senior" or "Junior" Axor models. All have the same price:- ₹4580.
Even KYT (an ECE certified) helmet retails for a street price of Rs. 2900 or so. No big deal.

Hope you understand that as a community, we can't say that Axor retails for 4500, when it actually doesn't. If you say that the one in market is fake, we're open to a discussion, as long as you have proof or at least valid reasons to believe so.

As for DOT, its probably the most useless certification. Suppose Vega sold its helmets in the USA in 2012 and not beyond that, just suppose (not an info). If they don't maintain the same standards today, what can the "Department Of Transportation (DOT), USA" do to a company right here in India?

And one more thing, DOT isn't just about the shell strength, its about a whole level of convenience, comfort and features too.
So, to clear DOT and ECE, its just not enough to give a strong shell, and that's it. No, that's not it.

About online shopping, I've seen cases with prices going above the MRP, even on reputed sites like snapdeal, flipkart, etc. because these sites don't sell directly, they have other "Sellers" who create account on their site.
If you sell something, you can create an account too. And feel free to put a damn good price too!

Plus, if you're convinced you got a good deal, that's all that matters, why waste time arguing with others on this, isn't it?

I hope we don't see a problem due to you again, eh buddy? Calm down and do learn more and more from the forum.... Prateek was initially just trying to help you out, by pointing an error that could be rectified with some good exchange policy or so.
                  Take it positively, right?

THREAD will be cleaned up soon.

My vote will go for MT, Kranos have padding issues of what people have noticed.
SMK is by Studds and have seen it in hand, quite sturdy , must say.
THH, I havent used so cant comment on that.

Actually if you read from the beginning (about a year ago), I am always will to absorb new information as well as share what I have. I just shared what I had but somehow others did not like it and could not justify their statements.

We have rules on the forum. Kindly avoid calling out names, and creating a hostile environment. And use the Report system to report posts where you feel cornered.
I accept my fault here and apologise to Prateek and others for the same.

                      Now, for some facts...

Your posted Vega link is not working as clicking on helmets redirects to: VEGA AUTO ACCESSORIES Pvt. Ltd.
Not aware of that. It was working when I posted it and showed a helmet similar to mine.

Anyhow, the common Vega Axor helmet is here for some years now, and has a street price of around Rs. 2500 or so. Mostly all of us know that. There have been deals around 2000/- too.
There are so many products with difference between street prices and MRPs. No big deal at all.
I have never disputed that fact. I have clearly stated that I bought it for Rs.2500/- which I thought was a good deal. I merely said that the company outlet had a banner saying the MRP was 5000 and they were giving 50% off. I bought it not for the discount percentage, but because I was getting a nice helmet for Rs. 2500/-. What's wrong in that?

But as you say its a senior model, do you think it shouldn't be on official Axor website (forget Vega one)... Check out for yourself:- AXOR-A008
AXOR was being sold officially by Vega and that's why it was on the Vega site.

You will see in the above link, that there are no "Senior" or "Junior" Axor models. All have the same price:- ₹4580.
That was precisely my point. What the company outlet told me was 5000, quite close to the above mentioned figure.

Even KYT (an ECE certified) helmet retails for a street price of Rs. 2900 or so. No big deal.
I have never had an issue with that. I would have bought one if I had found it but the stores in Goa were selling KYT's in the range of Rs.7000. Possibly different models.[/QUOTE]

Hope you understand that as a community, we can't say that Axor retails for 4500, when it actually doesn't.
I just said that it was the price listed. As that was what the website said. I never said I bought it for 4500 or 5000.

If you say that the one in market is fake, we're open to a discussion, as long as you have proof or at least valid reasons to believe so.
I was just saying that the company outlet is less likely to sell a fake compared to a store dealing in various brands.

As for DOT, its probably the most useless certification. Suppose Vega sold its helmets in the USA in 2012 and not beyond that, just suppose (not an info). If they don't maintain the same standards today, what can the "Department Of Transportation (DOT), USA" do to a company right here in India?
That can be a topic of discussion. I have not commented of the quality of tests. Just stated what I saw on the helmets.

About online shopping, I've seen cases with prices going above the MRP, even on reputed sites like snapdeal, flipkart, etc. because these sites don't sell directly, they have other "Sellers" who create account on their site.
If you sell something, you can create an account too. And feel free to put a damn good price too!
I am not disputing that. But then I did give a link of the Vega Website which is not a general online seller like flipkart. They only sell their own products.

Plus, if you're convinced you got a good deal, that's all that matters, why waste time arguing with others on this, isn't it?
There is no such thing as being convinced. Since people were convinced that I was duped, I merely asked for some proof so I could go to the store and un-dupe myself.

I hope we don't see a problem due to you again, eh buddy? Calm down and do learn more and more from the forum....
Well I do sincerely apologise for my actions but at the same time it would be nice if people acknowledged that it was not entirely my fault. People cannot just rubbish someone's statements without proper explanations or proofs.

Prateek was initially just trying to help you out, by pointing an error that could be rectified with some good exchange policy or so.
                      Take it positively, right?
I do appreciate that and I precisely asked for something that I go go back to the dealer with to rectify my mistake of buying a helmet for Rs.2500.

They can be compared to Kranos on a level but not MT. A friend said it's good but then again not for 90 or 100+ kmph.

Would be good for city daily usage I guess. The graphics are also good. Just not recommended for those weekend fun and high speeds.

I think SMK helmets are real value for money for 4000rs.Comes with pinlock visor and sunglasses. At this price point it comes as steal deal. I am also going for smk helmets in coming days. Also we can connect bluetooth afterwards.
