About the field of view, that's just a matter of getting used to. Hardly takes a couple of weeks. And once you get used to full face helmets, you wouldn't like open face ones at all.
I won't talk about the possibilities of wrecking your face. You're surely sensible enough to understand that. I can just say that having crashed at 100kmph, I'm lucky I had a full face helmet. I was going to get a half face one just before the accident. Luckily I have all my teeth and my jaw. So that was nice.
