Re: Helmets
Well, at around that price point, my recommendation would be SMK, Zeus and MT Mugello (if you're ok with D-ring). All are DOT certifiedOriginally posted by jayantjha View Post₹5000/- is my budget as of now. That is an extended budget actually.I was planning for something around ₹3000/- but the good ones I felt after trying a few were all above that.I did try a THH but I was not sure if it was an original, even though it looked like one.About LS2,the helmet did feel a fake because I searched & searched for the DOT certification but didn't find any.I was a little confused but after your comment I would be more careful now.
PS:- Am I right in searching for a DOT certification? I believe that it should have one.:D

Re: Helmets
Go for smk or mt starting series and also you've got options like vega axor, then you have axr helmet, I use a kranos helmet, it costed me about 3200 and is DOT as well as ECE certified, do check them out too if you want to... They give proper snug fit and the helmet built quality seems great too only thing is they don't give D-ring fastenersOriginally posted by jayantjha View Post₹5000/- is my budget as of now.

Re: Helmets
Hi guys,
Wanted to buy two helmets for me and my wife. Can anyone suggest good helmets. Have heard Revolt Turismo is a good helmet. Any reviews on that would be helpful. My other options are LS2 Breaker FF390( to be launched in October), MT Blade(which has lot of wind noise and MT Revenge(which has excellent reviews. I am concerned about water seeping in through its exhaust air vents during rain).
Requirements:
Budget within 7000 for each helmet. Can make a marginal jump if its really good.
Should be available in Medium Size too
Good Safety with Double D rings
Good padding, but not too soft that would cause the helmet to come off on impact
Less Wind Noise
Good Ventilation- South East India is hot and humid. Dont want to wear a Idly Cooker on my head
Good Protection from rain water seepage
Built in Blue tooth speaker pockets is a plus
Sun Visor(not a priority)
Any suggestions would be highly helpful.Last edited by Anubhab; 09-18-2017, 06:37 PM.

PS:- Am I right in searching for a DOT certification? I believe that it should have one.Well i got last week SMK helmet for my wife , i am using AXR [not Axor] , most of the helmet shell size is always same and size will be adjusted in padding . only few premium helmets have variable shell size.Originally posted by Anubhab View PostHi guys,

Now about SMK , i too felt its great value for money and with good quality, you will get free replacement of visor within warranty period if it got loose.
BUT still i feel AXR [not Axor] has better quality when it comes to padding [padding has same density after using one year , no deformation]and EPS [double] layers , only downside is it doesn't have any additional features , like pinlock or sun visor.
So if anyone looking for helmet within 5000/- you can choose either of them with your eyes closed.

Just consider MT Thunder3, MT Mugello, and AXXIS helmets (not Mt axxis) on spartan pro gear websiteOriginally posted by Anubhab View PostHi guys,

Re: Helmets
One thing I did like about MT is the D-ring.Initially I found it very difficult & awkward with the D-ring but after 4 or 5 attempts I could figure out a way to do it quickly. The D-Ring felt more securely fastened compared to the other locks.I have narrowed down to SMK & MT.D-Ring might be the game changer.Originally posted by Siddhanth Paul View PostJust consider MT Thunder3, MT Mugello, and AXXIS helmets (not Mt axxis) on spartan pro gear website

Have not seen one of AXR yet but will keep my eyes open to that.I have almost decided on which helmet to buy but I can delay that till I have tested an AXR Helmet.Originally posted by nagoo View PostWell i got last week SMK helmet for my wife , i am using AXR [not Axor] , most of the helmet shell size is always same and size will be adjusted in padding . only few premium helmets have variable shell size.

Re: Helmets
Hello everyone,
I have been using a steelbird helmet forever now.
Personally surprising keeping in account how important safety is for me. That is the reason I went for an ABS equipped bike as my first ride too.
On that note, Which is the best helmet in a 5k-8k range?
I really really like the SOL ones, but they are too costly on Amazon and I do not know a proper location in Hyderabad to get one offline.
Any leads will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Re: Helmets
Look at MT Revenge. Pretty good and the only sharp rated helmet in your budget.Originally posted by Raman Swaminathan View PostHello everyone,

Re: Helmets
The Sol Unicorn III comes at around 8k. Hoping for a massive discount on Amazon , just wish I had a store in Hyderabad where I can check for this.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostLook at MT Revenge.
