It's good to go for a helmet that fits a little snugger as opposed to on the looser side. Helmet pads overt time lose their thickness and eventually give you a perfect fit. When they're new they're would fit tighter than expected. Measure your head crown circumference with a measuring tape and cross check it with the size chart referenced with the brand helmet you're buying.Originally posted by Aswinlogi View PostGuys suggest me a helmet size IDK , how much tightness should it be ??
I've checked studds ,they have sizes S,L,XL
which are 560,580,600 mm respectively !
I feel L is literally tightened up but XL feels little shaky when weared !!!
Any suggestions are welcomed!
Most Indian heads fall in the L range depending on the brand. Make sure you take into account your cheeks, a flabbier cheek with a tigher helmet would mean a little difficulty till the helmet beds in with usage.
My personal suggestion would be to go for a slightly snugger fitting helmet as opposed a loose one.
From your measurement, you fall in the S to M range. Choose wisely.
Cheers!

Re: Helmets
Check the size ranges of the helmet you've chosen. 55cms is usually S in most helmets, I think you've not measured the size correctlyOriginally posted by Aswinlogi View PostYeah accurately 55 cms ,I measured right now !! (21-22) inches
Whether I should go XL or stick with L ?
.
Check at the widest part of the skull, or search Google for how to check it correctly.

Fc-moto is great website. Prices here are really good. Before you ordered check the final price includes shipping.
Though you might have to pay extra custom duty. But if you're lucky then you'll get it at no extra cost.
My friends ordered Dainese full leather suit at no custom duty. Also HJC 50k helmet at no custom. It's all about luck. So give it a try.
Bell you can get at 8k from highnoteperformance which is great.Last edited by saorabbh; 10-25-2018, 04:17 PM."The Answer, My Friend,

Re: Helmets
Considering you're going to upgrade to 600-900 cc bike in future the 5-8k helmet won't be the good option. They all start to wobble/shake above 120 speed. You must get proper and aerodynamic helmet which can withstand speeds above 120kmphOriginally posted by hgps View PostHello guys,
Please suggest a Safe helmet with low wind noise for weekend rides. I already have a Kranos helmet with my daily commute but its extremely noisy. Its so noisy at 90-100kmph that i cannot even hear a car honking right behind me. Earplugs are out of consideration as i don't want to compromise my situational awareness.
Considering i may upgrade to 600-900cc class in 6 months. New helmet should provide excellent protection and least wind noise.
Budget is 5-8k
Do not hurry up to buy a helmet. Up your budget till 20-25k and get Agv or ARAI etc."The Answer, My Friend,

The AGV was loose on the sides like the SOLs.
Bell qualifier had a pressure point at the top of my head
.
Any other options? Perhaps MT/SMK/AXOR?Last edited by Shashank K R; 10-25-2018, 04:44 PM.

but its extremely light weight that your head will get confused of whether you're wearing a helmet or not lol!! Jokes apart!
But you can give it a try actually. Build quality is not great and felt not worth the money we're paying. but its really light weight.
Can't say much about MT (never used any) but looking at users feedback its great!
Smk, is bang for buck but not really great in terms of durability. All my friends are just complaining about wind noise due to quality issue."The Answer, My Friend,

Don't have the detailed pics but this is Axor carbon helmet
You see those Matt silver plastic vents and deflector on top. They have sharply designed.
That color was chipping out from the corners as i get out of the shop and ride merely 15kmsLast edited by saorabbh; 10-25-2018, 05:32 PM."The Answer, My Friend,

Re: Helmets
As many helmet manufacturers have described how to measure the head size for choosing the Helmet size , I followed the same .Originally posted by Shashank K R View PostCheck the size ranges of the helmet you've chosen. 55cms is usually S in most helmets, I think you've not measured the size correctly
.
Check at the widest part of the skull, or search Google for how to check it correctly.
And found that's correct!
I double checked the measurement to found 57 cms .
*Actually the measuring tape should be placed rounding on the head .
( just above the ears )
So sticking with L is good ,I hope !!
Cheers [emoji1360]
