    Hello,

No i don't mean they are duplicate. But the material and the finishing differs in ECE and DOT. U can compare the difference by keeping the 2 together. Please let me know if any questions.

Which are anti scratch & anti glare visors. All the visors will give you protection from UV rays. But Crome & Rainbow visors reflect UV rays And hence give more cooling effect in day time..
Visors can be cleaned with soft cotton cloth or can be washed with mild soap water to avoid scratches due to small dust partials.
but are vega visors unbreakable like the ones in cross??i myself have tried bending cross visors and they dont crack..i had a vega cohra model helmet, one day it fell from my hand and the visor cracked instantly, had to shell out rs 150 bucks unnecessarily

      • Group buy???

Hey guys i'm getting a new helmet for me in a week or so.

So if anyone also planning to do the same here in Bangalore we can tag along and for sure can get some more discounts.

Let me know in case anyone is interested (PM me).

I'll be going most probably this weekend or the next.

Planning on a Cross/LS2 along with a set of elbow guards..
        My thoughts...

am asking this as now I have seen two accidents where this has caused injury......one happened to me only....fell at 40-50, face down on road.....helmet hit the road....chin hits the helmet cut on chin....,
          other to a friend.....fell at 70-80....same scenario....bigger cut...

the possible solutions I can think of are:
          1) wear a tight helmet and the strap should be tight as well, o that your head/chin doesn't moves forward to hit the helmet: the problem is whatever helmet you use..it slowly loosens up...
          2) Wear a helmet with large clearance at chin...kinda motocross

Any other solution: any helmet which comes with good chin protection.....??
Right here in this thread there is a good video which describes how to pick a helmet with the right fit.
regarding the chin hitting problem... well, the cheek pads of the helmet should fit snugly. And when you push it, the chin part should not make contact. And its not just the chin parts, you need to check for perfect fit, if it will move vertically or horizontally, the shell shape match your head shape etc etc... These are clearly shown in the video... dig it up...

in your website the LS 2 helmets are shown as ECE approved. infact in the open market most of the LS 2 helmet that i have seen is ECE approved. the LS2 cartoon and phobia in Jaipur, bangalore, chennai is priced at 3k -3.2k and they are ECE approved.only thing thats preventing me from buying is the size. i need an L or M but they have only XL for now.

BTW the price quoted by you is around 3.6k to 3.8k and add the shipping to it plus tax, the helmet will costs 4.2k- 4.5k which is around 1500 more than what we pay here locally. ie we are paying 25% more for your helmet and that is a huge amount.here you are saying that the helmets in the open market is not duplicate ones then how can you justify the higher price quoted by you?

The Xbhp magazine has an ad from Vega for their Bluetooth headset which can be fitted to helmets and has an inbuilt FM radio. Anyone knows the costing and availability in Delhi

Exactly the same reason that though I had a chance to get a LS2 Phobia from Adventure On the rocks here in Hyderabad for 4500 or 4200 (Initial pricing ... Only recently reduced to 3800) , I got a LS2 Phobia(ECE certified) from Bangalore for 3k .

I would stay away from those knee/elbow guards sold at JC road.

The AXO guards which are sold for 950 bucks (includes knee and elbow guards) are definitely fake and are replica's (confirmed by a shopkeeper at JC rd).

I seriously doubt if they provide any sort of protection. I'm ordering a set for myself on the net. Better safe than sorry.

From where you ordering on net? I didnt knew about the quality of AXO. If that's the case then i'd stick with cramster or DSG...

But still i'd stay it's better to try these and then buy.. What say?

I'll check out the DSG ones this weekend at Orion and the Cramster as well... If i find them good then i'll pick them up this weekend itself...
