Guys i had to share this incident regarding my helmet which is a studs ninja model helmet, i bought this in 2008 for around 1800.00

couple of days back when i was on road it started raining heavily and i went in for a shelter and kept my helmet on a wall and me in a pan shop, unfortunately the wall slid which was around 20 ft high and loads of bricks and sand fell on my helmet from 20 ft above i thought my helmets gone and it must have turned to pieces but to my surprise even the glass didn't break up, all it had was scratches and dust and wet mud around it.

Even then it won't have any impact absorbing strength left in it. You better change it.

which helmet do u suggest for me, i wear spectacles and visor is a must for me and my budget is around say 2000.00

What kind of usage-city or long rides?
Do you prefer heavier helmets or lighter ones?
Do you want a full face or flip-up type like what you had?
Is your head big or narrow?

i would prefer a lighter one with full faced and my head is normal round type not narrow.

Use these links to look for some good models. I prefer Studds as they are broader&the padding is thicker, though the helmets are slightly on the heavier side. Vega helmets are sleek, compact&lightweight in comparison.
I think the Studds Rhyno is a good fullface option.
2G/3G will be flipups-improved versions of what you have currently. (All ~Rs.1200)
Vega Boolean (~Rs.1800) is good, but since you have specs better rule it out.
If your budget is lower, you could consider entry level models like Studds Chrome/Vega Formula HP etc.

those goggles come with the helmet itself ? and can they be pushed inside ??

yeah it actually is a helmet visor in shape of gogs(it comes till nose only as i showed in one pic also)..it can be pushed inside just like a normal visor..

yeah it actually is a helmet visor in shape of gogs(it comes till nose only as i showed in one pic also)..it can be pushed inside just like a normal visor..

okay good...helmets without that are available ? or have you checked if that can be removed ??

even i am having good experience with this helmet as i had an accident & at that time i was wearing this same helmet..i fell right in front of my bike when the handle bar of my bike got smashed to my stomach & then my head struck to the road directly & i started tumbling on road till the other side..but this helmet proved itself & save me from any injury on my face..it got scratched all over with few major bruises but didn't even crack..but still as precautionary i changed my lid after that accident & switched to Vega this time..

yeah you can replace it with other visors but then it won't go inside completely as there won't be enough space for it, i asked the dealer while purchasing it, but its already better then that..

they can be removed but not replaced

they can be removed but not replaced
