LS2 Speed

Thanks dude, I picked it up today, the model is LS2, 'The big one', it's a perfect fit, with lots of ventilation, didn't even break a sweat! and it's become very humid, only thing is that it's got a tinted visor, no good for night riding, the shop doesn't have spare visors for it, but all in all great value for just 2k. It actualy gives me more confidence whilst riding, the padding around the jaw and towards the chin is great, I felt safe, for the first time in my two weeks of biking, the Ninja 3g gave me paranoia, if you have a fall and land face first a broken jaw/chin would be a high possibility.

I will be buying the lid only after you clarify it from your dealer.And if your dealer is selling the same helmet which happened to cost 3.5k+ sometime for 2.X k now,I am pretty much sure that all of the dealers are getting the same stock.I feel AOTR is playing marketing gimmick with us guys..

Anyway,I am waiting for your reply on this..

For LS2 Big one and for all others LS2s he was asking 3.5k.
I am feeling, i was conned in this purchase after reading that the same helmet is coming at 2k which is 1.4k difference.

But the LS2 speed goes good with my Pearl white RTR180 so got a reason not to be sad.
I upgrarded from Steelbird Bieffe to LS2 speed.

I had checked out the LS2 Site and the Products that we have in market doesn't seems to exist in the site Product list.

Check this out : LS2 Helmets
Is it because the products in our market are the outdated ones?

Most likely obsolete models, stock levels are usually kept higher in Asian markets, than in Europe.

I am feeling, i was conned in this purchase after reading that the same helmet is coming at 2k which is 1.4k difference.

But the LS2 speed goes good with my Pearl white RTR180 so got a reason not to be sad.
I upgrarded from Steelbird Bieffe to LS2 speed.

No doubt the LS2 is a good quality helmet, I was suprised when the dealer said 2k for 'the big one' didn't bother haggling as it was a great price and only 500 bucks more than the Ninja 3g, which is inferior in every way. What suprised me the most was actually getting a good deal in Goa, I thought Delhi was the place for that! Maybe it's because Vega is close by in Belgaum, that the pricing is good, dealer margins must be huge?

Either way it's a great helmet, just wish I hadn't wasted 1500 bucks on the 3g, by the way, here it was available in one colour only, just happened to suit myself and match the ride, technically I paid the same

yeah before going to d shop even i was under impression of them being 3.5k or more. But was amazed to see the rates quite lower(2-3.3k)

Of late,I have been hearing a lot about LS2 prices crashing down to as low as for 2.5 k at several places.

Are you guys sure about authenticity of these helmets? Are they original and imported helmets?

I have sent an email to adventure-on-the-rocks asking about why they are still selling LS2 helmets at high-prices(3.5-4K).And the reply I got is this..

Yes, we can ship the order at your door step. Please note that the prices of ORIGINAL LS2 in market varies from 3500-4500. We stock only certified ECE and DOT standards helmets. If you are getting an LS2 at 2.5K, feel free to buy that but you will regret it buying at the later stage. If LS2 is priced in 2k-2.5 then it is no more an Imported Brand. It is equivalent to any other local brands available.

Anyone would like to shed some more light on this? Have the prices really come down? Or,are these cheap alternatives?

I am in dilemma,right now,as which one to buy..

Due to current market dynamics (dont ask for further details ) prices of LS2 helmets have come down to the 2.5 k range across the country. These are not fake LS2 helmets. Dealers are trying to clear existing stock everywhere and they are in a hurry. Those selling it at the older price are probably the ones stuck with older stock / hoping for higher margins.

My recommendation - If you have set your eyes on a helmet in the LS2 / Cross range, this is the perfect time to pick one up. Prices will definitely go up soon. Maybe back to the old rate, maybe higher.
