Need a helmet now. Please suggest a decent helmet for the price range around 1000 INR.

And, a question. Are those Gliders (dirt helmets styled) helmets safe? I mean, are the just stylish or they have the quality too?

Hmm, even I am inclined towards it. Any reviews if you guys could share would be nice to be read And I've some questions like, do the vents really work for low range helmets like this one? Does it have a breath de? Does it comes with an extra visor? If yes, are both the visors same or we get a transparent and a tinted/mercury/rainbow one? Hows the fitting and is the helmet heavy for longer rides on tours? Because, I've heard from somewhere that Studds helmets are usually heavy. You can compare the weight with Vega Boolean for reference.

Also, if someone can comment upon Vega Trojan & Steelbird SB-20 Twix
      Thanks in advance.

Well even i thought the vents wont work in the rhyno but "they do". The fit and finish is great for the helmet of this price. Regarding the visor, you will get only the clear one with the helmet but you can buy the tinted / iridium ( rainbow) visor as an extra. The clear one costs around Rs 350 i guess but i am not sure.

Other than that, the padding of the helmet is not removable but is very well made. I have not tested the vega boolean so cant comment on the weight, but the rhyno is not at all heavy.

I think the only drawback of the helmet is that the size is a bit big compared to other helmets but by time you will get used to it. I would say just go ahead and get this helmet. I am sure you wont regret it buddy.

          Hello guys,
Bought an LS2 helmet in Matt Black color!
Comes with air go(adjustable chin pads with pumping mechanism) and overall, the helmet is very good.
The quality of interiors is nice and has 4 air inlet ports.
          Pleased with the buy.

I am using a Vega Boolean for the last 6 months. I had an accident 1 month ago. Must tell the helmet saved me. Plus you get an internal visor(coloured) which acts as sunglasses in daytime. But the only negative is it is a little heavy as compared to Studds Ninja. But you will get used to it.

Thanks for the quick and concise review bro. I heard it gets fogged very soon and is noisy at speeds above 80. How far is this true?

Yes, agree to it but corrected just as to avoid the person getting wrong info. Moreover, yes we all know that full-face type are the safest, still flip-ups are not as unsafe as open-face.

Hi vishnus, I was looking for AGV helmets in Bangalore and I can tell you who doesn't have the Dreamtime - Orion Motors. They have some K-3 helmets (I remember seeing the Gothic Black) but the dude quoted 19.5K. I wonder if he meant 9.5K... he was checking out chicks on Facebook so perhaps he was a bit preoccupied.

I see ebay.in lists some K-3 imports at around 13-14K though I don't see the Dreamtime there.

I'll keep an eye out for the Dreamtime and let you know. Keep us posted on your shopping experiences.

UPDATE: I see someone has previously ordered on ridersdiscount.com from Bangalore. They seem to have reasonable shipping rates. You could try it if you don't find what you want in India. Again, I haven't used this website myself.
